Itinerary

  • Day 1 - 16th April Drive from Dibrugarh to Kaziranga National Park

    Just after breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park from Dibrugarh which is about 3 hours and covers 90 kilometres. This is one wildlife sanctuary that covers an area of 480 kilometres in the heart of Assam. The place is full of enriched wildlife that includes mammals, one horned rhinos, elephants, tigers, bears and panthers. You can also see a range of species of birds here. The exclusive environment and the natural beauty compelled UNESCO to term it as a World Heritage Site in 1985. Check out the enriched wildlife of the place along with an overnight stay.

  • Day 2 - 30th March Drive to Itanagar from Nameri via Nishi Tribal Village

    Explore Nishi Tribal Village, Tour Itanagar’s Local Market

    There is about 245 kilometres drive from Nameri to the state capital of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar. This will be done early in the morning and in between you will get a chance to explore the beautiful traditions and cultures of Nishi Tribal Village. Once you reach Itanagar, check into the hotel, freshen up and take a walking tour of the local market. There is an overnight stay at the capital.

  • Day 3 - 31st March Drive from Itanagar to Ziro (post-breakfast)

    Tour Nishi Tribal Villages

    After breakfast, there is a drive of about 5 hours from Itanagar to Ziro that covers about 167 kilometres. You can not only enjoy the scenic beauty and the picturesque nature but also various other Nishi Tribal villages on the route. Finally, you reach Ziro in the evening. This place is headquarters of the Lower Subansiri District of the state. This plateau is located at about 1560m and is surrounded by the mesmerizing Apatani tribal villages on all sides. There is an overnight stay plan here.

  • Day 4 - 01st April Full Day Exploration at Ziro

    Witness Tribal Dance, Explore Apatani Villages

    The day is full of activities and exploration at Ziro including the surrounding Apatani tribal villages. This also includes the breathtaking local tribal dance in the evening. There is an overnight stay at Ziro.

  • Day 5 - 02nd April Drive from Ziro to Daporijo via Nishi and Miri Tribal Villages

    Explore Nishi Tribal Culture, Explore Hill Miri Culture

    Just after breakfast, you will be driven from Ziro to Daporijo which is a 7 hours drive and at a distance of about 180 kilometres. There will be a stoppage in between for checking out the cultures and art of the Nishi and Hill Miri tribal villages. By evening, reach Daporijo which is the headquarters for the Upper Subansiri District. At about 600m from sea level, the place has a panoramic view of nature and tradition uniquely blended with each other. The place is known to be inhabited by Hill Miri, Tagin and Adi Gallong tribes. Overnight stay at Daporijo is planned.

  • Day 6 - 03rd April Drive from Daporijo to Aalo

    Explore Adi Gallong Village, Tour Tagin Tribal Village

    While driving from Daporijo to Aalo, there is a halt at Adi Gallong tribal villages and Tagin tribal villages. Once you reach Aalo, the town with small and beautiful villages, you can enjoy the natural setting and atmosphere of the place. It is about 300 m from the sea level and a perfect place in Arunachal Pradesh for spending the hot seasons of the year. The huge plantations and the health resorts only add to the relaxation and rejuvenation. There is an overnight stay at this enticing town.

  • Day 7 - 04th April Full Day Tour of Aalo

    Meet the ‘Shaman’, Explore Aalo Surroundings

    An entire day is given for the tourists to spend some quality time in and around the town of Aalo. In the evening, the meeting of the “Shaman” and checking out the festival ground is scheduled. An overnight stay at Aalo follows next.

  • Day 8 - 05th April Full Day Festival Tour at Aalo

    Experience Mopin Festival

    Just post breakfast, a short drive to the festival ground where you can enjoy all the revelries of Mopin Festival, one of the reasons for the tour. This is one of the main festivals that are celebrated in Arunachal Pradesh and one that is renowned all around the globe. The reasons for celebration are to achieve ultimate happiness, wealth, health and prosperity for the tribe. The festival goes on for 5 days and starts with application of rice powder on each other’s face by the tribal people. This is followed by lunch at the hotel and some after refreshments. There is an overnight stay at Aalo.

  • Day 9 - 06th April Drive from Aalo to Komsing

    Trek to Komsing Village

    A short drive from Aalo to Pangi which is at a distance of 38 kilometres leads to the crossing of the cane suspension bridge by walking. This is followed by trekking for 4 hours before you reach the village of the Adi Minyong tribe, Komsing. Here, there is a chance of one on one interaction with the locals and you can question them on their traditions and cultures. Overnight stay at the village house follows.

  • Day 20 - 17th April Full Day Tour of Kaziranga

    Elephant Ride, Jeep Safari, Leisure Activities

    Start an early day at Kaziranga National Park and pre breakfast there will be a short drive till Kohora in Central Range for an exciting elephant ride. After breakfast, a jeep safari follows at 7 am from Central Range. This will follow till lunch after which there is another jeep safari that waits but this time in the Western Range of the park known as Baguri. Leisure activities can be carried on in the evening followed by an overnight stay at the park.

  • Day 21 - 18th April Drive from Kaziranga to Guwahati

    A 5 hour drive from Kaziranga to Guwahati airport/station is the routine of the day that covers almost 240 kilometres. On the way, sightseeing is the best option to do. Soak in the beauty of nature that will always be a part of good memories of the trip.
