Information: The Ranger at the Lodge has endeavored for more than two decades to save the tiger for the betterment of humanity by gaining the topical degrees in Wildlife ecology, biology, management & human interspersion in wildlife conservation and then finally sticking to the fact that wildlife tourism is the best tool to save the tiger in a democratic & developing country.  Hence, he has opened the doors of his own house for wildlife enthusiasts, bird watchers, landscape photographers as well as nature lovers. 
The itinerary takes you deep into the pristine jungles of Corbett while making you stay a night in one of the forest rest houses besides the remaining nights with the ranger at his lodge. The ranger has believed that tiger needs more support & by the end of the itinerary a normal tourist becomes a tiger protector, which is the need of the hour. Enjoy a stay full of wild adventures and venturing into the active zones of the jungle. You will be staying in a lodge with a ranger of the Corbett National Park, making the stay more amazing. With a number of Jungle Safaris happening during the course of your stay, you will be enthralled to the core. A walking safari in the forests adjoining the Lodge will open you up to sightings of rare birds, about 580 species of them. To make the experience even better, you will have evening wild tales by the bonfire along with a classic wildlife film on tiger conservation.  The Ranger loves to inculcate an interest in tiger conservation and proves his point that tigers are the guardians of humanity.

Activity: 
A minimum of 5 jungle safaris by 4WD Gypsy, a walking safari in the forests adjoining the lodge, storytelling sessions by the bonfire beside watching some of the most useful documentaries on wildlife conservation during the entire stay.

How to Reach:
Individual transport is one of the options but the ranger believes in Public transport where one leaves the minimum carbon footprints. Ramnagar is well connected by the trains from Delhi.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival at The Ranger’s Lodge | Wild safari

    1200hrs: If you arrive by lunch then depending on the availability & the booking of the jungle safaris, Check-in in one of the forest view rooms, and lunch.

    1330hrs: Jungle safari in one of the interesting zones of Corbett tiger reserve. Look at the interesting changes in vegetation from open woodlands to dense woodlands with their changing bio-diversity including a myriad of birds, ungulates and maybe tigers or leopards besides either a loner or herd of pachyderms.

    1445hrs: A walking safari in the forests adjoining the lodge for acclimatization, birding & ethnobotany.

    1745hrs: Return back from the walking safari and have tea/coffee at the Lodge. Freshen up.

    1845hrs: Evening bonfire with a classic film on tiger conservation besides discussions on the need of saving the tigers in their natural forests. Evening drinks may also be served. Frequent monitoring of the forests using a torch might result in seeing the blinking eyes of a plethora of wild ungulates besides may be a big predator too.

    2000hrs: Dinner and day off.

  • Day 2 - Full day Safari along the river and in Grasslands

    0545hrs: Wake up with a cup of tea/coffee with cookies.

    0615hrs: Leave for the biggest tourism zone of Corbett tiger reserve with packed breakfast. Enter the forest while doing safari in multiple habitats of this very interesting zone of Corbett. Umpteen number of opportunities of seeing birds here besides a plethora of ungulates and other wilderness. Look at the interesting changes in the vegetation as you go deeper into the forests till you reach a point where the lifeline river enters the reserve forming pools to experience the aquatic life such as two species of big fish, two species of crocodiles, beside the vibrant aquatic ecosystem of a Himalayan river. Have breakfast here and then move on to denser woodlands.

    1115hrs: Check-in at your forest rest house and enjoy the vast stretches of grasslands and river beds with multiple facets of aquatic ecosystem in terms of raptors dependent on the aquatic life.

    1230hrs: Lunch in the canteen.

    1315hrs: Set out for an evening safari into the grasslands on either side of the river through woodlands.

    1730hrs: Return back from the safari and then freshen up for dinner

    1830hrs: Dinner and call the day off or may be one can experience the sounds of silence.

  • Day 3 - Full day Safari in the Core Critical tiger Habitat

    0545hrs: Wake up with a cup of tea

    0615hrs: Set out for the jeep safari in other areas of the tourism zone or check the routes of day two in case of reports of interesting activities in the vicinity. Breakfast with light snacks will be in the jeep itself in order to save time to explore the forests

    1130hrs: Return back to your forest rest house or another rest house for lunch. Relax with the panoramic habitats or one of the finest landscape of hills, river, grasslands, moderate & dense woodlands – all in one line. Also, check out from your rest house.

    1315hrs: Leave for the PM safari and drive back while doing the return safari to The Ranger’s Lodge.

    1730hrs: Return back at the lodge for the much-needed shower and a little rest.

    1830hrs: An evening by the bonfire for the logging of the birds beside a multitude of discussions on the whole trip and maybe a classic movie on Corbett’s trails & times

    2000hrs: Dinner & Good Night. The adventurous ones can use the torch to see the blinking eyes around the stay.

  • Day 4 - Birding around the lodge

    0615hrs: Wake with a cup of tea/coffee, cookies, etc. If time permits then walk into the forests adjoining the lodge for special birds, listen and experience the varying songs of air-borne species.

    0800hrs: Breakfast and then depart for the next destination, bringing the experience to an end.
