Scuba Diving at Snake Island off Corbyn Cove Beach
Corbyn's Cove Beach is crescent shaped sea beach of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
It is about 4 km east of Vir Savarkar airport and 7 km south of Port Blair.
The beach is adorned by bunkers and pill boxes built by the Japanese. It is ideal for surfing, sea bathing and sun basking.
There is also a provision for horse riding.
Hotels like the Peerless Resort and Hornbill Nest Resort are located very close to the beach and are known for offering excellent and comfortable accommodation.
There is also a tourist complex, the Corbyn's Cove Tourism Complex, which offers a range facilities such as an air conditioned restaurant, a bar called - The Waves, changing room and water sports.
Snake Island which is very near to Corbyns Cove Beach is a spectacular dive landscape of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
It has a magnificient collection of corals on offer. This island has awesome rock faces and the marine life includes trigger fish, grunts, goatfish and rays.
Although the currents in the water surrounding the island are pretty strong and swimming can be dangerous, one can Scuba Dive if accompanied with an instructor.

Facts
It is advisable to be registered with a scuba diving instructor from PADI or any such internationally recognized institutes.
They offer proper training which includes academic sessions, dives in swimming pool and sea dives. If you go scuba diving alone make sure you have permission to dive and are properly equipped.
