With forest lands dominating nearly 42% of the entire area of the district, Umaria is a rural locality located in the north eastern Madhya Pradesh region. Formerly, the headquarters of South Rewa Taluk, this place is famous for its rich and varied wildlife as well as for its numerous shrines.
