    Royal Manas was entitled as a wildlife sanctuary in 1966 and became a National Park officially only in 1993. The park shelters more than 365 species (recorded) of birds and grows 900 classes of plants and trees. Most of the trees have religious and medicinal values and are commercially used for the same.

    The Royal Manas is situated in the southern part of Bhutan and borders the Manas Tiger Reserve, India which is a world heritage site. It also connects the Singye Jigme Wangchuk National park.


    : Royal Bengal tiger, one –horned rhinoceros, leopards, Himalayan black bears are few of the wilderness you can spot. Birds which are almost extinct in other part of the world such as Pallas fishing eagle, emerald cuckoo, blue headed rock thrush etc take refuge in this park; elephant and jeep safari, and boat trips are part of the park’s entertainment.
