Chobia Pass Trek
Chobia Pass is located at an altitude of about 5000 m above sea-level between two peak-Tent Peak (6133 m) and Barakanda Peak (5877m). This destination is ideal for trekking, and is seen as an acclimatization trek before attempting the arduous Kang La Pass in Miyar Valley. From the pass, the trekking trail leads you to Chenab Valley.

How to Reach
Bharmour is the base village to reach Chobia Pass. There are two roads to Bharmaur, one is via Banikhet and Chamba while the other route is via Khajjjiar and Chamba. The first route is the longer one but has better roads while the second route is narrow and hilly. It is a 4 hours drive from Dalhousie to reach Bharmour.
There is a regular bus service from Chamba to Brahmaur, and also Himachal Road Transport Corp.(HRTC) operates a jeep and bus service between Brahmaur and Hadsar.
The Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport and the nearest rail head is at Joginder Nagar. One can reach Kugti Pass also from Dharamsala, which is well connected by road. There are buses available from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla and Pathankot for Dharamsala.
The nearest railhead to Dharamsala is at Kangra Mandir, located at a distance of 22 km, and the major railway junction is at Pathankot, 85 km from Dharamsala. Pathankot is well connected with all the major cities in India. The nearest airport to Dharamsala is the Gaggal airport in Kangra valley, which is at a distance of 12 km and reaching here, one can hire a taxi to reach Dharamsala.

Kugti Pass: This pass is located at an altitude of 5040 m above sea level. It offers a challenging trekking trail from Bharmaur to Keylong. There is a rest house here that provides a magnificent view of the coniferous forests. One can also visit a temple of Keylong Wazir, which is located at a distance of 2 km from here.
Kugti Sanctuary: Kugti Sanctuary is situated at an altitude ranging from 2,195 m to 5,040 m. The undulating habitat plays host to snow leopard, ibex, brown langur, common cat, leopard, deer, musk marten, Himalayan yellow throated fox, Indian/red Serow, ghoral, Himalayan thar, monal and snow cock. One can also find number of medicinal plants here. It is located at a distance of about 30 km from Bharmaur and 15 km from Kugti village.
Bharmaur: This picturesque small town is bounded by high mountain ranges, and is known for its ancient temples and monuments. Bharmaur is the base for the Manimahesh Yatra, and there are a number of trekking trails that begin from here.
