Visa Requirements

The visa process for Indians is handled by VFSGlobal, a company that processes the initial applications before sending them to the embassy for review. You will first need to decide on the length of your trip and then apply online on the VFSGlobal website. You will be able to apply for your visa no more than six months and no less than 15 days before your trip. To complete your application, you will need to pay a fee of €80 (INR 7,285.98) for an adult and €40(INR 3642.99) for a minor above the age of 6 years. Visa fees are waived for children below 6 years old. You will be given an interview date and on that date, you will need to visit the VFSGlobal centre in your city or visit a nearby city where they have a centre. It takes about 15 to 30 days to process the visa. In rare cases, it may also take 60 days, so apply at the earliest. The standard Schengen Visa which is given for trips is for 90 days and is termed a short-stay visa.

Best Time To Visit Iceland

1 Peak Season: Iceland enjoys more tourist footfalls during its summer months, which start in June and last till September. During these months, the weather is the warmest and all roads are accessible.
