About Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum is one of the most amazing places to visit in Port Louis that interests people of all ages. This museum will take you on a journey about the rich and diverse history of Mauritius. The museum houses priceless artefacts, coins and ancient maps of the island. The remnant of the extinct “Mauritian Dodo” is one of the most striking exhibits amongst all other zoological collections of the Indian Ocean. Recently, an antique train carriage and a replica of Napoleon’s boat has been included in the prestigious gallery of exhibits.

- 11:00 am – 4:00 pm (Wednesday)
- 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (Saturday)
- Closed on Sundays.
