Kaaba Overview

The Kaaba is one of Saudi Arabia's most beautiful and revered sites, and it is also known as the House of Allah since it is the first Qibla for Muslims. Muslims from all over the world visit the Kaaba during the Hajj pilgrimage because it houses a black stone that Muslims believe was once white but has since turned black after absorbing the sins of millions of pilgrims who have visited it over the years.

Amongst the Tourist places in Saudi Arabia, Kaaba is the most magnificent and respected and is also known as the house of Allah because it is considered to be the first Qibla for Muslims. Muslims from all across the world come to visit Kaaba during Hajj pilgrimage as the Kaaba houses a black stone that Muslims believe was originally white, but turned black after absorbing the sins of millions of pilgrims who have visited it over the centuries.

Here you will see that the pilgrims congregate in the courtyard of the Masjid al-Haram surrounding the Kaaba when they arrive in Mecca. They then stroll in a circular motion, following the crowd, around the Kaaba in the hopes of kissing and touching the Black Stone known as al-Hajar al-Aswad in urdu, which is embedded in the eastern corner of the Kaaba.

You will also come to know that the mountains were located adjacent to Kaaba before but when Makkah was inhabited during the Prophet's time, they were demolished to build houses for people in Makkah.
