About the Chakrata Trek:

This package includes a four-day trekking expedition to Chakratha, a picturesque place in the state of Uttarakhand featured by the snow-clad peaks and green surroundings. The trip starts from Delhi with an overnight journey to Chakrata.

Alone with trekking, tne route also offers sightseeing and nature walk. A visit to the Tiger Falls, Chirmiri to watch the sunset, and Budher caves will let you enjoy the breathtaking and unique sights held by these untamed spots. The package includes food, accommodation and transportation from Delhi and return.

As a part of daily hygiene protocol, proper care of hygiene and sanitation is maintained all through to ensure the utmost care and personal safety of the guests.

Chakrata Trek Itinerary

Day 1

  • From Delhi to Chakrata
  • After meeting your fellow travellers at ISBT Kashmere Gate in Delhi, board the vehicle for an overnight journey to Chakrata.
Day 2
Day 2
  • Arrive in Chakrata
  • Upon arrival at Chakrata early in the morning, check in to your room.
  • After a while, head to one of the highest waterfalls in Uttarakhand which originates from an elevation of 312 ft and has crystal clear water, Tiger Falls is an alluring spot attracting a lot of trekkers. If you wish, take a dip as well and then go to explore the area around.
  • Enjoy a drive down to Chirmiri to watch the sunset. The spot is exactly 4 km from the main Chakrata market, and is a haven for birdwatchers and offers an incredible sunset view.
  • Once you return to the hotel, enjoy a bonfire session and a sumptuous dinner will follow.
Day 3

  • Trek to Budher
  • After breakfast, get ready to indulge in a trek to Budher where you will get a chance to visit the ancient limestone caves.
  • The Budher caves are located at a 3 km distance from FRH Budher. These caves are also known as Miola Caves after the German National who discovered them. Legends depict these caves time back to the Mahabharata.
  • Post this you will visit Deoban which has a rejuvenating environment. Deodar trees surround the jungle which accommodates remnants of the Jaunsari village as well.
  • Get back to your hotel afterwards for your overnight return drive.

  • End of the trip
  • Upon arrival in Delhi early in the morning, head back home with a memorable experience.

Know Before You Go for Chakrata Trek

  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  • Consult a physician before undertaking the trek. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
  • Pay heed to the trek guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound trek.
  • The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travelers littering may be fined.
  • Water is very precious, so conservation is appreciated.
  • Do not encourage trekking during the night unless it is a part of the itinerary and a guide is with you; this might lead to unforeseen mishaps.
  • Avoid using earphones during the Langtang Valley trek; this might hinder your audibility.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
  • In case, the Langtang Valley trek needs to be canceled, the authorities should be informed beforehand.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of masks is recommended.
  • Please provide a valid ID at the time of check-in.
  • Professional guide(s) are available to ensure high safety and more information and personal attention which are necessary to appreciate a trek.
  • The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
  • Neat and clean vehicle for the journey with experienced drivers especially for hilly terrains available.
  • Camping is very basic in nature. One must not expect luxuries. Electricity may be available only at a few locations.
  • Mobile & laptop charging points may/may not be available on campsites at a common point.
  • Any personal expenses, items of personal nature, meals not mentioned, etc. will not be in part of the package.
  • Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
  • Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the Chakrata trek.
  • Children below the age of 7 years are not recommended for the trek.
