Nag Tibba Trek is a weekend trek and can be easily accessed from nearby places as Dehradun is well connected. The first half day was journey in the traveller from Dehradun to Pantwari (Base village to start the trek). I will suggest you to take Anti Altitude sickness or anti vomiting tablets to avoid vomiting on the way. Also, it is an easy trek for seasoned trekkers but do some physical fitness training before going on this trek (or any other trek) if you want to enjoy all the moments of the trek. Less stamina and tiredness often result into leaving the trek in between and dissatisfaction. Day 1: Dehradun to Pantwari and Nag Tibba Base Camp: I went on this trek with my friend Sunil and we had really good time there. First day half of the day we spent in traveling from Dehradun to Pantwari in a Tempo Traveller which was arranged by the tour operator. After reaching Pantwari we started our trek to the base camp. It was an easy trek of 4 Kms which we covered in 3-4 hours on a leisurely pace. We had our lunch on the way. (Paratha, Aloo Sabji, Chocolate, sweet and Fruity). Liked the food. Tents at the base camp were comfortable and food was great. Try and explore the sides to take good pictures. Day 2: Base Camp to Nag Temple, Nag Tibba Smmit, down to Pantwari and back to Dehradun So this day you need stamina. Total distance trekked was around 14 Kms- Base Camp to Peak and Back- 10 Kms Base Camp to Pantwari Village- 04 Kms We started early morning at 4.15. Trek guides were Ravi Chauhan and Gambhir Chauhan. These guys did really great job managing the group. Thumbs up to both. Gambhir is a seasoned trekker and trained from the prestigious Nehru Mountaineering Institute. He is having good knowledge of trekking and the terrain. Both of our guides were very friendly. First we went to the temple. I was surprised to know that every year in Rainy Season, a festival is organized there and villagers come there to take blessings of Nag Devta (Serpent God). From temple we went to the Nag Tibba Summit. On clear days, you can see beautiful snow covered peaks including Gangotri, Kali Choti (Black Peak) and Dhauladhar range. Start as early as possible from the base camp if you don’t want to miss the view as the day passes, visibility gets poor. After spending some time at the peak we started descending and reached to the base camp in 2 hours. Trekking down in hills is a bit tricky because of the slippery slopes and pebbles but enjoyable. After having our lunch at base camp we moved down to Pantwari village and then back to Dehradun in the traveller. We came back with a beautiful memory. Thanks to Thrillophilia for your continuous support and friendly gesture. Meals were testy and stay was very comfortable. I will suggest trekker to go prepared with winter clothing and the basic things like torch etc. so that you can enjoy the trek. P.S. - Running water washrooms are not ready yet.

Nag Tibba is a perfect weekend winter trek. First day morning you will travel from Dehradun to Pantwari (Base village to start the trek). You will go through Mussoorie and there is a waterfall on the way. After reaching Pantwari you will start your first day trek to the base camp, it's about 4km long. After reaching the base camp have your lunch and you will get snacks afterwards. On the second day, you will start your trek to the summit. On the way, there is a view point from where you can see the Yamnotri range (Kedarkantha, KalaNaag etc). On this day you will find enough snow. I enjoyed the trek. Thumbs up to the trek leaders and the Thrillophilia team.

It was an amazing experience! Mesmerized with the views of the peak. We were thrilled to see what the trek had to offer! It gets steep once the snow trek begins, but it is doable given the surroundings and kinda people you meet up there. The guides were around to help and kept the group moving along throughout the trek. The food and tents provided were pretty well-arranged. Loved what we had up there.Definitely worth the pain and money.Thrillophilia is a great way to book such deals and go up the mountains.

It was every bit worth it! the trek guides were very helpful and nice. Mukesh particularly kept us entertained throughout and went out of the way to help me andy friends. although I feel it should be a three day trek and not two but with a certain fitness level two days should be Okay. overall a wonderful experience it was! highly recommend it.

Nag Tibba is an amazing escape for a short winter holiday like new year or Christmas. It is a two day trek to the top of the highest peak of Lesser Himalayas. The trek is a bit steep and hence tiring for beginners but the view at the base camp as well as at the top is worth the sweat.Which brings me to the point that why Thrillophilia is better, On our first day we gather at the Dehradun station and meet our trek guide Steven, who by the way is really an adventurer and full of astounding stories of his own, Do ask him about it! Then It is a three hour drive to pantwari village which gets interesting as the driver puts nice tracks both old and new. From pantwari we start our trek to the base camp, the path is full of pebbles and but the view alongside and the lunch provided by them makes us forget about it.At one point you would think why did you come here in the first place you could have rested and partied over the weekend at you cosy home but then you reach the base camp and spot the sunset view just in time where you just have to sit and Rana bhai (tour guide) will make the arrangements for your hot tea and pakora and you realise so this is what they say abiut chai, pakore and the sunset. The base camp is set at such a perfect spot that just by sitting in you tent you can appreciate the show nature performs for you. Then there are arrangements for bon fire with popcorn, soup , music and a bunch of fellow trekkers, followed by the dinner and amazing experience sharing moment. And you get so satisfied that you think even if this is all, it's amazing already. But then the next day early morning trek for Nag Tibba starts, it is dark when you start the trek but that's the whole point, you can aim for welcoming the sun back, yes the sun rise from the top. The sun slowly unveils the top of humungous mountains and you realise Why exactly you came down here, actually came up here! p.s. you can see many mountain peaks nanda devi, chandrashila, Kedarkantha, Bandarpucch etc etc. Rana bhai will explain you that. Pics : Sunset view from the base camp + Nag Tibba top view
