About the Destination:
With Nag Tibba Trekking, engage in a one of a kind and historical trek. Resting on lower Himalayas, Nag Tibba is also referred to as Serpent's Peak and is considered as among the destinations where the mighty Himalayas discovery began. It is one of the three primary ranges of the region and also has mentions in the known book '7 years in Tibet'.
Enjoy making way through the forest and set sights on the mighty snow-clad ranges of Bandarpunch and Swargarohini. Conquer an altitude of 3022m. You will pitch tents amidst the beauty of nature and wake up to the sweet music of Mother Earth. Further adding delight to your days is a thrill filled round of rafting on the green and fierce Yamuna River. Rest assured, the three days are packed with a whole lot of excitement.
Temperature Range: Days are going to be sunny and warm (12-18 °C) while the night temperature at the highest campsite would be in the range of 0-4 °C. In the post monsoon season the days are sunny with temperatures hovering around (10-18 °C) and the evenings start getting cold with the onset of October and nights are comparatively colder (-2 to 2 °C).
Dehradun – Pantwari - Kathiyan (Drive /95 km) (Trek 6 km)
Your Nag Tibba Trek journey commences today. To dodge the traffic, begin early from Dehradun for a 22 km drive to Mussoorie and 17 km more for Kamptee Falls. The route will be a downhill one from this place to Yamuna river bed and Nainbagh town. There are two roads over here, one that takes you to Yamunotri. You will be embarking on another tapering one that ascends to Pantwari Village.
The path will lead to behind the Mussoorie ridge and into the area of the shepherd. Enjoy the gentle uphill trek in hills of Nag Tibba Range. Arrive at Kathiyan sometime during the late afternoon and pitch tents. After unwinding for a bit, you can go exploring the nearby vicinity and go trigger happy. Night time, a fun bash awaits.
Kathiyan - Nag Tibba Summit - Back (Trek/8 km)
Rise and shine amidst the sweetness of nature. Delight in the little pleasures of life like seeing the first rays of the sun hit the horizon and mountain peaks. You will indulge in breakfast and then dash off for Nag Tibba Trekking. Packed lunch will be had along the way.
When at the top, you can feast your eyes on the snow-kissed Garhwal and Himachal mountain ranges. Witness the popular Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Srikanth, Black peak and more. Relish in picnic lunch at the top, relax for a bit and then retreat to Kathiyan through the Nag Tibba Base camp.
Kathiyan – Pantwari - Dehradun
Today, begin early and go trekking to Pantwari village. Reach Yamuna Bridge by road where a rip-roaring rafting session awaits. The green and chilly waters of the river can be intimidating at first but after some time, you will get the hang of it. The water body has some drops and makes its way through gorge sections. This is the greatest and the most loveliest trek ever. I had the time of my life here in this trek. We as a gang of four friends took this package, and the next thing we know was that we had a complete itinerary in the mail and it was nicely followed through the trek. Coming back to the concept of trekking, it was an exciting experience. I totally loved the trek. It was the most beautiful and wonderful trek that I have ever taken. Everything was so beautiful and the surroundings were breath taking. It was totally a worthy trek.

It was very well organized and our guide and support staff was very friendly. I met lot of new people on this trek. Best part of this trip was adventure filled rafting. it was worth the money paid.

This was the best trip one can get at this budget. If you go in the right season like I did, you can get to raft in the Yamuna river along with the trekking experience. It is sheer fun. You would enjoy it totally. I had a great time.

This was an awesome experience. We had a really great trek. It was the best trek we ever had. The price was also not that costly and it was very much in our budget. Although we didn't like the food much but overall for the price we paid we were satisfied.

What is the best time to go?
The best time to trek to Nag Tibba is February to mid-June, and mid-September to end-November. This is is an easy trek and the best weekend break to revitalize you.

You will not have mobile signals on the top. However, on the way, you can get the broken signals of Airtel and Idea.
What is the level of difficulty?
his is is an easy trek and the route downhill is pretty straightforward
Which type of shoes should I bring?
Good quality and sturdy trekking shoes that cover your ankles. Refrain from using sport shoes for your own safety and the trails are uneven and tricky hence requiring good grip trekking shoes. If you are buying new shoes for your trek, please remember to use them for at least a month before you commence your holiday.
What are the clothing and equipment that need to be carried from our end?
Make sure to carry warm and comfortable clothing as temperature can drop, pack good quality trekking shoes, slippers and extra pair of socks. It’s advisable to carry sunscreen lotion or any other skin moisturisers as the sun at the top can be harsh. Water bottles and energy bars/snacks are advisable. A Flashlight (with spare batteries) will help once the sun goes down and it’s always smart to carry insect repellent and emergency medical kit.
Can I go this trek solo?
Yes, you can go for the trek solo, but you will joining other people during your trek. A dedicated trek guide will be there every step of the way to help you.
How much weight will I have to carry?
It is advisable to carry a 60 L backpack, weight to be carried will depend on your requirements and capacity.
