About the Activity:
  • This energizing overland excursion has it all. On this voyage you navigate through probably the most strange and surrealistic landscapes.
  • You will visit locales which till as of late were cut off for visitors, and are saturated with rich society and history.
  • Marvel the Ladakh's snow-topped mountains, profound chasms, alluvial fans and antiquated religious communities offers delights while riding through its scenes. 
  • This adventure includes navigating through the Greater Himalayas and intersection various high passes starting with the Rohtang pass (3,978 m). From Manali
  • You go through Keylong, central command of the Lahaul region, to achieve Jispa. From Jispa you ride to Sarchu through the Baralacha Pass (4883 m) over the Zingzingbar fields.
  • From here one can see the Mulkila and Barashigra crests. In the following stage you ride through the Lachlung La (5065m) and Tanglang La (5306 m) passes and from that point dive to the wonderful Indus valley to achieve Leh. 
  • The last leg of this riding excursion would include investigating the Nubra valley and riding to the marvelous Pangong Tso (lake).
  • Complete this energizing voyage following day at Leh and one can either take a flight for Delhi or a common taxicab for Manali. 


Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Rest and Explore Manali

    Arrive in Manali and settle down then you can roam around the local market, visit a famous temple and check out other sightseeing spots in and around Manali.

    Overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 2 -

    Ride from Manali to Jispa-135 Kms-5 to 6 hrs above 3200m

    Start your day by indulging in one of the greatest road trip on the planet.

    Start riding on the famous Manali – Leh highway and reach Jispa today.

    Ahead of Manali you will cross the famous Rohtang Pass (3980m), with excellent views of the Pir Panjal range.

    You will stop here for some photography session. This pass is open only during a few summer months every year.

    From here you descend to the Chandra River and ride to the quaint village of Jispa.

    Overnight in a hotel/guesthouse.

  • Day 3 -

    Ride from Jispa to Sarchu - 95 Kms - 4 Hrs above 4253m

    Today you will ride to Sarchu via the Baralacha La which is a double pass linking both the upper Chandra and Bhaga valleys with the Lingti valley.

    Sarchu is inhabited by Himalayan clan, Gaddi, and few lonely soldiers at an army outpost.

    Overnight stay in a good quality fixed camp in tents.

  • Day 4 -

    Ride from Sarchu to Leh - 233 Kms -7 to 8 hrs above 3500m

    Like the previous days you will be riding through some breathtaking scenery on your way to Leh, en route you will be crossing two high passes, Lachlung La and Tanglang La.

    Ride in the third highest motorable pass in the world. Also you will ride through the vast More plains and 22 loops, both very unique.

    Late in the afternoon you will enter the Indus valley, passing through the beautiful village of Rumtse and arrive at Leh.

    Check into the hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 5 -

    Explore Leh above 3500m

    Today you'll start exploring the Indus valley.

    You will ride to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis gompa (monastery) accompanied by a local guide loaded with information on the history and practices of these gompas.

    Return to the hotel for lunch then explore the local market and shopping.

    Overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 6 -

    Ride from Leh to Hunder via Khardung La - 5 hrs above 5602m

    Today you will set out on a 2 day overland riding exploration trip to the Nubra Valley.

    You will ride from Leh to the Khardung La pass , the second highest motorable pass in the world.

    On a clear day views of Indus valley below are phenomenal. The villages of the valley are extremely pretty and characterised by greenery, willow & poplar trees.

    Also this valley has the distinction of being one of the trade centres on the ancient Silk Route.

    You will stop at village of Diskit and visit the local monastery.

    Overnight stay in fixed camp/guesthouse.

  • Day 7 -

    Ride from Hunder to Leh via Khardunga - 5 to 6 hrs above 3500m

    After breakfast you start exploring the Sumoor and Samstaling gompa.

    Later ride across the Khardung La to reach Leh.

    In the evening, explore the local markets.

    Overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 8 -

    Ride from Leh to Pangong Tso via Chang La - 4 to 5 hrs above 5320m

    Take a visit to the 3 high altitude lakes Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri and Tso Kar.

    So to give an exciting end to the trip we head towards the lake.

    You will embark on a memorable ride to the mesmerizing high altitude lake of Pangong Tso.

    You will start early and take about 6 hrs to reach the lake.

    Ride along the Indus river and cross the Chemrey gompa, green cultivated fields, typical Ladakhi houses and hairpin bends.

    Before reaching the fourth highest motorable pass in the world, Chang La (5320m).

    From here descend to the lake. Nothing prepares you for the first sight of the Pangong Tso lake.

    Today you will stay in a beautiful deluxe campsite.

  • Day 9 -

    Ride from Pangong to Leh - 4 to 5 hrs above 4350m

    After breakfast start riding back to Leh.

    Overnight stay in a hotel at Leh.

  • Day 10 -

    Ride from Leh to Sarchu -7 to 8 hrs

    Take a 8 hour ride to Sarchu from Leh.

    Once you reach stay overnight in a guest house at Sarchu.

  • Day 11 -

    Ride from Sarchu to Manali - 7 to 8 hrs

    Take a 8 hour exciting rideto Manali.

    Once you reach stay overnight in the guesthouse.

  • Day 12 -

    Depart from Manalli

    After breakfast you'll depart to favored destination.

    End of the tour.
