Campbell Lane Cycling And Adventure Tour Overview

Trip Location: Kitulgala

Experience cycling, hiking, waterfall trekking, ziplining and swimming in the hills within the Kandy District with this one day tour. Explore the nature and its beauty with so many activities. 

About the activity:

You will be picked up and driven 15 km to reach Wattegama town and enjoy breakfast in a normal bakehouse. Collect your bicycles, helmets, pair of gloves, water bottles and knee guards and start the cycling tour. Ride 5 km on the 30-degree angle road and 3 km riding on the 50-degree angle road and go through the spicy plants, viewpoint, semi-rural life pattern of villagers, tea plantations and clove garden. After the 8 km ride, you will reach the Hunnas waterfall. Get into the jeep and travel 1 km to reach the trailhead of the Shaheen Mountain hike. Start a 1.3 km hike to the Shaheen Mountain, is famous for the world’s fastest (330kph) diving birds. 

Paddle for 4 km on an easy downhill and then have lunch at a restaurant.  Paddle 4 km to reach Sembuwaththa which is a very beautiful mountain village and Sembuwaththa lake. Enjoy a 200 m zipline over the lake. You may also be able to enjoy swimming in a natural pool and walk around the lake. Enjoy evening tea with snacks.

  • Day 1 -

    06:00 am: You will be picked up and have breakfast.

    07:30 am: Collect your standard bicycles, helmet and start your cycling tour.

    07:45 am: Ride 5 km on the 30-degree angle road through spicy plants and tea plantations.

    09:00 am: Reach the famous Hunnas waterfall.

    10:00 am: Get into the jeep & travel 1 km and reach the trailhead of the Shaheen Mountain hike.

    10:30 am: Start a 1.3 km hike to the Shaheen Mountain.

    11:30 am: Start to climb down in the narrow paths and reach the endpoint.

    12:00 pm: Get into your bicycles and paddle for 4 km on an easy downhill and have lunch at a restaurant.

    01:45 pm: Start cycling and reach Sembuwaththa mountain village.

    02:30 pm: Reach Sembuwaththa lake and do a zipline over the lake.

    04:30 pm: Enjoy evening tea with snacks.

    05:00 pm: Get into the jeep or anyone wants to do more cycling.

    07:00 pm: Leave for the hotel.
