Himachal Pradesh is a state filled with beauty like none other. Nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, Himachal is full of surprises that are lovingly explored by all the adventurers that arrive here. one such great place to visit in Himachal is Bhrigu Lake. Located at a freezing height of 14,100 ft above sea level, Bhrigu Lake is perched on the eastern side of the famous Rohtang Pass.

Owning a sacred place in the Hindu Mythology, Bhrigu Lake is considered to be holy as it was once the meditation ground of a famous sage, Maharishi Bhrigu. His presence made the spot and the waters of lake holy. The adventure of seeing this lake takes you on an amazing trekking trail in the Himalayas. 

Starting from the beautiful small village of Gulaba, the trek first takes you to the base camp of the Lake. The stretch will then take you to the Lake and return the same day, before bringing you back to Manali where the experience will come to an end.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Day 1 - Drive from Manali to Base Village | Trek to Base campsite

    Arrive in the Manali early in the morning and meet our representative who will transfer you to base village.

    From here, you will trek to reach your campsite in Base Campsite.

    The ascend till base camp is moderate and will take around 3 - 4 hours to reach. There are two streams on the way to the campsite (Chor Nallah and Kohli Nallah). Base camp is a beautiful campsite and offers amazing views of the Solang Valley.

    Overnight stay in tents at Camp Site.

  • Day 2 - Day 2 - BHrigu lake trek (11 kms and about 9 hours)

    Starting early in the morning, you will have your breakfast and start the trek to the lake with packed lunch

    The trek will take about 3 hours one-way. After reaching the site of the lake, you will have lunch there and admire the scenic beauty of your surroundings.

    Post this, you will start your descent to the campsite

    After reaching the camp, rest of the day is for you to relax in your tents.

    Dinner and overnight stay in Camp

  • Day 3 - Day 3 - Trek back to base village and Departure

    On the last day of this trek, you will check out of the camps after breakfast and begin the descent to base village.

    A vehicle from here will take you back to Manali where the experience comes to an end.
