Situated at an altitude of 1423 meters in the mountains amidst nature. The homestay offers the unique experience for the visitors to taste the local cuisine and also be able to understand the local traditions, observe the local lifestyle, participate in the celebration of festivals, rituals and other forms of cultural expression. The homestay consists of 2 wooden cottages from where you can see a spectacular view of the first fall of the sun’s rays on the mighty Mt. Kanchenjunga. It is made of a special Bamboo 'Malinggo' which is commonly found in Sikkim and has all modern amenities.

Experiences offered:
-Village walk: Enjoy a village walk through the herbal gardens and cardamom plantations, also, local attractions Sumni- Hwari falls, traditional Bhutia and Rai houses that have remained virtually unchanged for the last 160 years.
-Birdwatching:  Along with the village walk capture all kinds of bird species found in Sikkim in the forest which is a beautiful sight for eye. 
-Cultural show: Gests can also enjoy a cultural show, which features Bhutia and Rai Dance and songs to the accompaniment of music played on traditional handmade instruments like Machunga and Binayoo….tap feet to the beats of madal…. or just hum the folksongs.
-Traditional Food and Drinks: Taste the traditional food and drink – millet wine (tongba), wa-chi-pa, herbal pakora, traditional Rai food (Waachippa) and many other traditional items provided. The food is cooked in a very traditional way which is all tastier and healthier.
-Khedi Trek: Guests can also trek to Khedi which is located at an elevation of 2803 meters, is a remote tranquil site ideal for trekking and also a historical place profuse with biodiversity ideal retreat for those who wish to enjoy and experience natural serenity.

Later, Guests can enjoy a bonfire, sit around and watch the sunset on Mt. Kanchenjunga.

How to reach:
Homestay is situated in a village 50 min from the capital of Sikkim Gangtok. One can easily get a shared taxi or book an entire taxi to reach the village.m

  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
