Time of paragliding is mentioned 15 to 30 minutes depending on speed of wind but mine lasts around 7 minutes which was unacceptable for me because many other travellers had good time of fly as they might had good pilot who can increase time of fly through their skill.Although it was a very good experience .

The take off site is in Dhobi which is around 20 KM from Kullu and is a smooth drive. The site is new and gradually gaining popularity. There are many other recreational activities which you can indulge in. We hired a private cab from our hotel in Manali and it was quite a drive. We were offered Tandem hang gliding and single but we chose the regular gliding and had a great time. The service was personable and the site was not crowded like the major paragliding sites in India I had the best view of the entire valley from above. My pilot was very friendly too and we glided in the air for a good 15 minutes. Glad that I ticked off a paragliding experience from my bucket list and was able to do it right with Thrillophilia.

Amazing experience, the scare factor is low and the enjoyment is amazing. It is my habit that I shop around for the best deals and I became certain that the deal by Thrillophilia is the most sought after. I had an amazing experience on a Tandem ride, I felt it was more fun than the regular paragliding and I had a great view while gliding. The only thing which I did not like was the quality of the pictures clicked by the photographer. Otherwise, a great fly, probably the longest duration fly in the region.

Amazing glide, loved the offbeat site, loved the fact that it was not as crowded as my last gliding site.I have brilliant video footages from my Gopro that whoever looks at it goes wow. The glide was smooth, you get to witness the panoramic terrestrial landscape from quite a height and when the thrill of taking off jitters and excites you. Try to listen to the instructions carefully, it comes handy while gliding.

On a 30 minute glide, I had seen a major region of the Kullu Manali valley. Our operators had recently ventured into the gliding business and that was good for us because the gears looked new and felt safe.

We went to Dhobhi, the take off site for the activity. The experience of seeing far off hills while flying was thrilling to say the least. Although the flight time was lesser than mentioned. Thrillophilia is a good platform

When I visited Manali last time, I couldn't do any adventure activities. This was the first time I got a chance to do something really awesome. And I am so happy that I found this package. Though it was for only 25 minutes, I was like extremely excited. The weather was friendly so the adventure went well. Thanks to all the guides and instructors and of course Thrillophilia.

    9. What is Paragliding?

Paragliding is a sport that brings you closer to flying like a bird. In fact, paragliders don’t only help in making you fly, they make you soar.  Paragliding comprises of a pilot and an equipment which is quite light in weight.

The pilot suspends himself in the equipment called a paraglider with the help of a harness and takes a flight by running down a slope or hill. It takes about 10 seconds to leave the land and kiss the sky. The pilot uses some kind of footwork to launch himself into the air and the wind takes care of the rest. He usually has the skills to manoeuvre the glider to maintain the balance to keep the equipment airborne.

There is no age-limit, health limit, or any other restriction to try this sport. However, the total weight for a single session of this recreational sport is advised to be below 100 kg, which includes the pilot, equipment, and the customer.

This equipment is flexible and comes with a wing that is made from ripstop Nylon and high-stress Polyester, the two fabrics that help maintain airflow during the flight. The pilot fixes himself beneath the canopy of the frame and launches himself down the hill slope until he lifts off the land and soars into the sky.

There are also two strings (known as brake lines) that help the pilot to balance himself and the paragliders during the flight. One can soar in the air for hours using the paragliders.
