Lamadugh Trek Manali Overview

Manali is gifted with a lot of amazing places and one of them happens to be this unique high altitude alpine meadow near Old Manali. Popular as one of the must visit and most visited places, Lamadugh is famous for offering experiences and views that you may have never witnessed before.

This day trek to the meadow of Lamadugh starts with your arrival at the meeting point in the Old Manali. You will then start the trek and climb through thick forests of Pine and Deodar to reach your destination. The trek offers majestic views of the many high mountains of the Himalayas that surround the valley like Indrasan, Deo Tibba and the peaks of Bara Shigri glacier.

To enter Lamadugh, you will have to walk horizontally on the ridge, and as you do, the place will open up to this green heaven of a meadow dotted by just one hut and with a variety of flowers. Spend some time here and have your packed lunch, before climbing back down to reach Old Manali and bring the experience to an end.

Awesome experience. Absolutely adorable guide. very patient with the complete family and kept encouraging till we made to the Meadows. more than 1000ft climb and we took our time to stay there and then returned. we walked down to the camp. Got nice tea and relaxed with the kids for some time before moving ahead. If your knees are a little weak don't forget to take a pair of knee band and a walking stick. They will help a lot.

A very well executed trek with a guide who really knew his way around the mountains and spoke fluent English to help us communicate. There were enough refreshments provided on the trek and overall I had a very wholesome experience.

Although we have heard of Manali a lot, Lamadugh would be a new place for you all. I was also surprised to see the place. The pine forests were crazily beautiful. This place offered a great view of many of the hills in the Himalayas. I am so glad that I found this tour on Thrillophilia. I don't think there is any other tour site where we can find something like Lamadugh tour. Exclusively for nature lovers. Just pack your bags and head to Manali. You will not be disappointed. I guarantee you that. Thanks Thrillophilia.

The meadows and the mountains; everything about this place is appreciable but we had no facility to cook or heat the packed lunch. I just wished we also had a cook accompanying us with the guide and helpers.
