Located on the banks of the Aghanashini River, Mirjan Fort is a 16th-century fort that is often described as a fairytale castle surrounded by greenery. Spread across 4.1 hectares, Mirjan Fort once witnessed fierce battles and later became an important hub for the spice trade with the Dutch, Portuguese, and British.Built with sturdy laterite stone, the fort still stands strong with its moats, secret passages, wells, and four grand entrances.
