KRS, Balamuri

Located on the Mysore-Bangalore highway, just 15-20 kms from Mysore is the Balamuri falls. They are on the way to the KRS falls.

All one needs to do is Balmuri falls is on the way to KRS dam around 15 – 20 km from Mysore. Follow the sign boards to reach there. Also, one can take right diversion on the Bangalore – Mysore highway after Srirangapatna. While on the road one can catch glimpses of small waterfalls. Students and nature loves adore the place because of its isolated locating and purity of the nation. On the way is also A Ganesh temple is also situated on the way to KRS Balamuri. The falls main attraction is Ranganthittu Sanctuary which is lush green and densely forested. One can bathe in the shallow waters of the fall. It is almost like receiving a water spa therapy sitting under a natural waterfall. The best time to be here winter season when there is plenty of water in the river.

    An update for those who plan to visit Balamuri waterfalls near Mysore. Swimming is prohibited in Balamuri due to the increased number of Deaths because of drowning. The Mandya police have banned swimming here. Make sure you dont venture into the water.
