AUCKLAND ZOO

Auckland Zoo is a world-class zoo set in the heart of Auckland, making it one of the best places to visit in Auckland. Some 120 species of indigenous and exotic animals are housed in this 40-acre zoological garden. Since it first started in 1922, the zoo has grown tremendously, introducing many new species and growing significantly in size. For the various animals, it has lots of different enclosures and displays, such as the hippo river, the orangutan trail, and the tiger zone.

It also has a children's playground displaying animals such as chickens, guinea pigs, and frogs.
