Amargarh Waterfall Trek Overview

Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal is one of the most gifted cities in the country, and that is easily visible in its popular title of the 'City of Lakes'. Apart from the scenic and beautiful water bodies, the place is also replete in the many forest regions surrounding the city, and the many small streams that flow through them. And on one of these streams is located the beautiful Amargarh Waterfalls. 

About the Amargarh Waterfall Trek:
• Amargarh falls are located in the Heart of Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary in the Hoshangabad district. It is a famous spot as this area has 3 waterfalls, Amargarh Falls, Silwani Kho falls & a group of small waterfalls surrounding the region.
• The forest is quite dense & a haven for wild animals which includes sloth bears, tigers, Leopard, Fox, deer, blue-bull, which common sightings here. Rich in the traces left behind by the early human settlements, the region of Amargarh Waterfalls is replete with ancient cave painting shelters.
• The total trek of about 14 km itself is a beautiful experience, followed by much more surreal views at the end of it.
• The 80 ft tall waterfall will be a sight to behold amidst all the natural beauty and is worth capturing in your memories, as well as in your photographs.
• Apart from these, the other grand highlight is the cave paintings left behind by the ancient civilizations that thrived here long ago.
• The way also passes lush through lush green jungles that are home to many wild animals and rare birds.

Located around 60 km southeast of the city of Bhopal and in the midst of the Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary which is easily accessible by private and public

  • Day 1 - Trek to Amargarh Waterfalls

    07:30 AM: Reach the pickup location i.e. ISBT

    08:00 AM: Departure from ISBT to Amargarh

    09:15 AM: Reach Amargarh

    09:30 AM: Breakfast and Briefing about activities

    10:30 AM: Trekking begins in the forest.

    02:00 PM: Return back to the base camp after trekking and enjoy lunch.

    03:00 PM: Time for Team Bonding Activities and other activities.

    04:30 PM: Evening Tea

    05:00 PM: Return Journey to Bhopal.
