The Meesapulimala trek begins when you get picked up from Chennai and then you proceed towards Munnar which takes you through some picturesque views of the entire valley. Enjoy a jeep ride to the silent valley from where you would trek towards the famous Rohdo valley of Meesapulimala. As you proceed, you would witness the beauty of lush green forests and dense culture of flora and fauna.
The 2 kms of Meesapulimala trek also lets you explore a beautiful waterfall and spend some moments with nature. The trekking activity also comes with a comfortable stay in camps on 2/3 sharing basis. Besides, 2 breakfasts, 1 packet lunch and 1 dinner would be served to you with delicious meals during the activity session.

How to reach?
You can reach your prefered pick up point in Chennai with the help of private or public transportation.
Note:
To avail the package, a person needs to be at least 12 years of age
You will be picked up on Friday from your chosen pickup point in Chennai.
Since this is an overnight bus journey that will take you to Munnar from Chennai, you will be advised to have some light dinner before the journey.
After reaching the forest department in Munnar early in the morning, you will be taking a jeep ride to the Silent Valley, which will also be your campsite for the night.
After freshening up, you will start the trek towards the famous Rhodo Valley. Till the waterfall Lagoon, the trail only ascends, after which it keeps going up and down.
You will be passing through dense jungles and long grass, to finally arrive at the starting of the jeep trail, which also marks the beginning of the Rhodo Valley.
You will see a number of Rhododendron flowers by the trail, adding numerous colors to the green canvas. A 2km trek from here will take you to a checkpost, from where the trail further leads for 4 kms and cross 6 more hills to reach the peak. From here, you can see the entire valley.
Spend some time and have your packed lunch here before returning to the campsite for the night.
Have snacks, play some games around the campfire.
Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
After breakfast this morning, you will check-out of the camps and take a small hike to a nearby waterfall.
From here, a jeep will take you to the forest department, from where you will board the return bus and bring the experience to an end.

The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The guide was an interesting person. The food served was of good quality and taste. The sight was absolutely marvelous. It was one hell of an experience for me! They took us to a waterfall too which was amazing. I'd a great time with Thrillophilia!

The picku up was delayed by some time so we started trekking a little late than the prescribed time. The trekking was fun and the panormaic vistas of the lush green hills around were really charming.
The best time for Meesapulimala Trek and camping is all through the year as the climate is usually pleasant. Summer months from March to June are the peak season for Meesapulimala trek booking as the cold climate and the blue skies make one’s trek straightforward and hassle-free.
During the monsoon season from June to September, Munnar receives a good amount of rainfall.
However, the absence of maddening tourist crowds and the surreal beauty to the valleys covered with lush foliage, and the misty clouds engulfing the peak make the trek to Meesapulimala peak worth the adventure.
