Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Manali Local Discovery

    Arrive in Manali to enjoy yourself the exploration of a beautiful town which possesses large number of surprising facts.

    Haddimba Devi temple is a must do activity as it is the only shrine in India where the major deity is Hidumbi, a demonic character portrayed in Mahabharatha.

    Also, enjoy a short visit to Vashisht Rishi Temple dedicated to sage Vashisht and houses a natural hot spring with therapeutic properties and relish the views of the local Tibetan monastery and captivating

    Solang valley with an excursion.

  • Day 2 -

    Manali to Chadrataal

    The bike ride will start in the morning after breakfast. Your first ride would be to Chandrataal, via Kothi, Beas Nalla, Marhi, Rohtang Pass at 3980 meters, the famous Himalayan hamlets, Chhatru, Batal.

    Chandrataal is the predominant high altitude lake in the region, located on Samudra Tapu plateau.

    It is the source of the Chandra River which is a major tributary of Chenab River.

    Enjoy the day exploring the nearby places of Chadrataal and rivet in the picturesque tranquillity.

  • Day 3 -

    Chandrataal to Kaza

    Post breakfast, gear up toward Kaza district headquarters.

    Kaza can be considered to the base for unending treks along Spiti valley.

    Kaza is located at an elevation of 3650 meters while Spiti River is flowing on the side.

    It is the largest township and commercial center of the valley.

  • Day 4 -

    Ride around Kaza (Key Monastry and Kibber Village)

    Explore Kaza on you bike post which start your journey to visit Key monastery, the largest in the valley established in the 11th century BC.

    Buddhist culture is encrypted on the walls of the monastery and it has the largest number of Buddhist priests and nuns.

    Towards the north, there is Kibber Village, visit the village located at a height of 4500 meters, probably the highest village in Asia.

    Stay overnight in Kaza.

  • Day 5 -

    Kaza to Pin Valley National Park

    Today, you will ride to the most astounding Pin Valley National Park. The snow clad peaks in the surrounding and the prisitine slopes give away the awe-inspring views.

    Take a trek to the fascinating wildlife world to see their natural habitat beautified by multitudinous streams, springs and glaciers,

    Pin valley arises from the glaciers of Pin-Parvati pass and is located at a height of 4802 m. It further flows down to meet Spiti, a large tributary of Sutlej at Lingti Village lower in the valley.

    Pin Parahio and Khamengar are major rivers that flow through the park.

    Over 400 species of plants have been recorded in Pin valley which is largely devoid of vegetation.

    Siberian Ibex and rare snow leopard are the highlights of the park but it also harbours several rare wild animals such as Tibetan wolf Canis Lupus, the Tibetan gazelle, Royale’s pika, Himalayan brown fox and the Himalayan blue sheep etc.

  • Day 6 -

    Pin Valley National Park to Tabo Village to Dhankar Gompa

    Travel to Tabo Village in your bike today which is an ancient village situated on the banks of river Spiti.

    The village is home to one of the most important Buddhist monasteries regarded as next to the Tholing Gompa in Tibet. The monastery has been declared a protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India and is called the Ajanta of the Himalayas.

    You can find the meditation caves adjacent to the monastery.

    The monastery is featured by 4 stupas, 9 temples, dormitory and classrooms etc.

    Unique paintings form a significant part of the monasteries’ interiors.

    Then move to visit a small settlement of Dhankar Gompa, famous for being the calmest hamlet.

    Dhankar Gompa complex is set on 1000 foot high spur. This is an exquisite norm of Spiti’s traditional architectural skills.

    The fort monastery with bright colourful flags has a lot of significance in the lives of the village people nearby.

    Have the glances of small houses with roofs covered by the layers of dry twigs and woods.

    Try climbing the rugged road that goes to the monastery demanding more energy.

    But from the top of the hill, the views of Dhankar will let you forget yourself for sure.

  • Day 7 -

    Tabo to Nako village

    In the morning, post breakfast, ride to Nako Village that crosses Sumdo Village.

    Nako Lake is the main factor that makes Nako Village sacred and more beautiful.

    The lake remains frozen during the winters and is at a 3 minutes walking distance from the village.

    The snow covered Himalayan ranges add more charm to the village and the lake equally.

    A stone path of about 75 m radius offers a breathtaking walk for nature lovers along the lake.

    Located at a height of 3662 m (12,014 ft.) above sea level, the lake brings some of the awe-striking views of the surrounding regions.

    Leave Spiti and enter the Kinnaur region of Himachal Pradesh afterwards.

  • Day 8 -

    Nako Village to Kalpa

    A retreat to the visitors is Kalpa, the most impressive part of Kinnaur district. The river hurting through deep gorges, the screes and the forests create a breathtaking blanket over the region to mesmerise the visitors.

    Perched on the hilltop overlooking the Kinner Kailasa (the abode of God Shiva) and fed by Sutlej river Kalpa is a favourite destination.

    The mornings and the evenings are equally mesmerizing and romantic since the sun rays peep through the tallest peaks in the ranges.

  • Day 9 -

    Kalpa to Sangla Valley

    Continue your ride to reach the remote region of Baspa Valley in the morning along the mighty Sutlej River before you arrive at Sangla Valley.

    Check into the hotel at Sangla Valley and relax.

    Listen to the gurgling waters of the Baspa river, that flow through its 95 km length.

    Go for a local discovery to Kamru fort at a distance of 2 km or to Chitkul village at the Indo-China Border if you wish.

  • Day 10 -

    Sangla Valley to Rampur

    In the morning, head out to ride towards Rampur and enter Shimla District.

    Stay overnight at Rampur.

  • Day 11 -

    Rampur to Kullu Manali

    You are entering the Kullu District crossing Jalori Pass, Shoja and Banjar.

    Jalori pass join Shimla to Kullu valley. Shoja is a breathtakingly beautiful Himalayan hamlet.

    Stroll around, walk up to the meadows or perhaps take the pathway into the jungle.

    After relishing the utmost natural beauty unwound by the hamlets and villages, continue your journey to reach Manali by evening and the tour is concluded by then.
