The trails consist of beautifully forested areas in the northern slopes and barren grasslands on the southern slopes. The best way to enjoy the Bhadraj trek is by completing it in two days and camping overnight at Dudhli village. The Bhadraj temple trek starts from Mussoorie with a professional guide. The trails go through Dudhli village.

Bhadraj Temple is dedicated to Lord Bal Bhadra, brother of Lord Krishna. The summit provides a panoramic view of the Doon Valley, Himalayan peaks, Shivalik ranges & Chakrata ranges can also be seen from here. Every year a three day fair is held at Bhadraj temple starting from 15th August to 17th August.

About the Bhadraj Trek:

Bhadraj Hill trek is a modest, well-balanced trek for beginners. One of the best weekend treks in Mussoorie, it can be completed in one or two days. The trail to Dudhli Village is called Milkman’s Trail, as it helps supply milk to Mussoorie town every day. You’re likely to be envious of the “milkman” considering he gets to start his day on such a lovely note. All along the ridge, Gangetic plains slope down on either side, while Himalayan ranges sit snug in the distance.

Bhadraj trekking trail of Bhadraj forest and temple leads through densely forested northern slopes and the southern slopes covered with barren grasslands at an altitude of 8,038 feet. Pass through extremely contrasting terrains. On one side the majestic Himalaya treks overlook the trail, and on the other side Indian plains emerge.
