About The Old Opera House
Established in 1880, the Old Opera House is one of the most significant places in Frankfurt and a must-visit for music lovers. The old school's classical-style building was inspired by the plan of the German architect Richard Lucae. After the building's destruction during WWII, it took almost four decades for its final reopening in 1981.
Tucked secretly behind the portico of the former Frankfurt Opera House is one of the grandest concert halls which hosts high-quality musical shows and events. The congress section of the Alte Opar organizes 50 events every year of global repute.
