Tal Varahi Overview
Another tourist destination of historic importance in pokhara valley.

Highlights
: Surrounding lake adds lot of grace to this most famous Hindu temple in Pokhara. Built in 18th century it is dedicated to lord Vishnu in his boar incarnation. The temple has been comprehensively renovated over the years and so the pigeons have decided to make it their permanent shelter. A must visit not only for the religious mind but also for regular tourist.

Location
: 10 minutes drive from Pokhara, located on an island in the middle of phew lake, it can be reached by a boat from Varahi ghat. 

A beautiful small serene temple of Hindu Goddess Durga Devi, Tal Barahi is located in the midst of a clean water lake. Pokhara tourist places of different calming surroundings around the temple will fill your heart. The mountain ranges in the backdrop of the lake and temple provide you all experiences of eternity in a single view.

There are coats that take you through a ride around the lake. It is a place surrounded by big old trees, the coolness leaves you carefree. You can also get life jackets at a nominal rate.

Location: Kaski district of the Gandaki Zone in western Nepal.

Timings: Monday to Saturday are 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
