Rongbu Temple, Old Tingri

  • Also known as Dzarongpu or Dzarong, is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Nyingma secery. This monastery lies close to the base of the north side of Mount Everest at 4,980 meters (16,340 ft) above ocean level, toward the finish of the Dzakar Chu valley. The monastery is considered as one of the most elevated religious communities on the planet.
