On our way from Egypt to Qatar we had a 26 hour layover in Jordan. It definitely seemed longer than only one day, just because of everything we managed to see and do during our transit in Jordan! —- We didn’t have a hotel booked and we got to Jordan 2AM and thank God, they let us out of the airport! We booked a hotel quickly using airport wifi, rented a car and went to sleep. We initially wanted to go to the Dead Sea or Petra but because we slept in, we thought of skipping both and just driving around. After some instagramming, I found a place called #wadimujib and we drove over there; it was a 1,5 hour drive and by the time we got there.. they told us it is closed! I was quite bummed but the beautiful sunset calmed me down lol… We kept driving and found this place instead.. called #wadizarqa – we met many people during the day who tagged along with us and our aimless adventures and Jordanian people are just the nicest!!! Plus, the locals of Wadi Zarqa dedicated some special Egyptian Beats on their drums in honor of Haytham’s presence 🤣🤣 and… the view of the place was just stunning! Insanely hot, it felt like we were in a steam sauna and we cried for a shower later on but.. the place IS stunning!!! Definitely worth the climb, sweat, fall, passing the river, wet clothes, fighting with wild mice and overall.. great transit trip, don’t you think? 😄

Southbound: Visual Tales from The Jordan Trail What I enjoy the most about long expeditions is that you get to live in a mobile home for quite some time! The possibility of enjoying everchanging views of your neighborhood is exciting! When you travel with a tent (or any form of mobile home), all you need to do is pick one awesome location that you like and decide it shall be home for the day or for the next couple of weeks! For me starting each day with the sun rising over a different view everyday was energizing; it filled me with all the energy I needed to kick off a new day with a freshly recharged desire for walking and for exploring. For that reason, I personally enjoyed the fact that, for the most part, we were camping on The @jordan.trail more so than lodging in hotels, guesthouses or home-stays. Although those types of accommodation were welcomed when they were accessible but I did enjoy better camping out in nature and loved the feeling of being as remote as possible from urban design… besides, I always sleep better in a tent than at home! Кто о чём, а я продолжу 😂 Недалёко от Мёртвого моря есть термальные источники под названием #Майн. Из базальтовой скалы бьёт горячая вода и спускается прямо в бассейн 🏔😜 Лечебные и расслабляющие свойства такого источника были известны ещё при древних царях, которые активно здесь лечили все свои недуги. Вода действительно горячая и после неё наступает приятный релакс. А вообще я пошутила. Это просто удачные фотообои. 😝 #грибницывИордании #relaxtakeiteasy #РадинавИордании
