About the Tour:
Embark on a saintly journey towards the Sufi Circuit of Bihar. Sufism is believed to be the inward dimension of Islam that imbibes its mystical practices. The believers of the tradition known as Sufis, are revered across the Middle East and South Asia as men of God that created a syncretic culture.

- During the medieval period, the spiritualistic aura enjoyed by Pataliputra (Patna) attracted many Sufi saints.
- The saints who came here preached in a very humanistic way that made the region a hub of pilgrimage for the devotees of all religions.

Major places covered during the tour:

Maner Sharif
Maner contains two well-known Mohammedan tombs, that of Shah Daulat or Makhdum Daulat, known as Chhoti Dargah, and the other that of Sheikh Yahia Maneri or Makhdum Yahia, called the Bari Dargah. Makhdum Daulat died at Maner in 1608, and Ibrahim Khan, Governor of Bihar and one of the saint’s disciples completed the erection of his mausoleum in 1616. The building is exceptionally fine one, with walls containing carvings of great delicacy and high finish. 

Amjhar Sharif
Panchrukhia, on the Daudnagar-Gaya Road, Amjhar Sharif is the abode of an ancient mazaar (grave) of a Muslim saint – Hazrat Saiyadana Mohammad Jilani Amjhari Quadri. Thousands of Muslims visit this pilgrimage centre on the anniversary of the great saint, which is held in the first week of June. The holy hair of the saint is put on display on the occasion.

Sasaram
The Tomb of Sher Shah Suri is situated at Sasaram in Rohtas district of Bihar. Sher Shah Suri’s tomb is a majestic example of ancient architecture. It has elements of Indo-Islamic architecture which include large open courtyards, high domes, and pillars; it has hints of Afghan architecture as well. This beautiful structure is a three-storeyed high mausoleum (approximately one hundred and twenty-two feet). It stands in the middle of an artificial square-shaped lake.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival at Patna

    On arrival at Patna, and then transfer to hotel for check-in.

    Evening visit to Khankaye Mujeebia at Phulwarisharif a mosque established in the 18th century catering to a large number of devotees every day.

    Return to hotel for dinner.

  • Day 2 - Patna - Maner Sharif - Patna

    After breakfast head towards Maner Sharif

    Visit, Maner Sharif Tomb or Choti Dargha and Bari Dargha - and admire the fine piece of Mughal architecture.

    Later drive back to Patna and explore Khankah Emadia (Mangal Talab) And Dargah Sharif, and Mithan Ghat.

    Return to hotel for dinner

  • Day 3 - Patna - Amjhar Sharif - Sasaram

    After having a hearty breakfast start your drive for Sasaram.

    En-route visit Amjhar Sharif Dargah in Aurangabad - this is a tomb of Syed Muhammad that is the chief representative of Quadri Order.

    Also, praise the two sacred trees of the garden of the complex which are believed to have saplings from middle - east country

    Head towards sasaram

    Check-in to the hotel and have dinner.

  • Day 4 - Sasaram Sightseeing

    After breakfast, our driver will take you to full-day sightseeing tour of Sasaram.

    Visit Sher Shah Suri Mausoleum situated in the middle of a tank which is the finest example of Pathan Architecture in India.

    There are other tombs related to Hasan Khan Suri, the Father Of Emperor Sher Shah, Salim Shah Tomb (Sher Shah Son) and Alawal Khan Tomb.

    Return to the hotel for dinner.

  • Day 5 - Sasaram to Patna

    Today after breakfast check-out from the hotel and get driven to Patna.

    It is a leisure day for you today, you can explore Patna on your own or take rest at the hotel.
