Phulara Ridge Trek Itinerary

Day 1
Reach Sankri
  • Altitude: 6,397 Ft.
  • Time Taken: 8-10 hrs drive from Dehradun.
  • On the very first day of Phulara Ridge trek, you shall get the opportunity to proceed towards Sankri from Dehradun. You get a chance to explore Sankri that refers to a charming small village in Uttarakhand with 250 around houses nearby.
Day 2
Sankri to Sikolta
  • Altitude: 6,397 Ft. to 9,300 Ft.
  • Time Taken: 5 hours
  • Trek Gradient: Moderate. Ascending trail throughout.
  • Water sources: A small stream near the broken bridge, around 3.5-4 hrs into the trek.
  • On your 2nd day of Phulara Ridge trek, you shall be proceeding towards Sikolta from Sankri base camp. You are going to witness the lovely pine forest and charming scenes on this day.
Day 3
Sikolta to Bhoj Gadi via Karsu Thatch
  • Altitude: 9,300 Ft. To 11,155 Ft.
  • Time taken: 4 hrs
  • Trek Gradient: Easy-Moderate.
  • Ascending trail throughout.
  • Water sources: A stream near the bridge, around an hour into the trek.
  • On your 3rd day of Phulara Ridge trek, proceed towards Bhoj Gadi from Sikolta. The journey that will be of 30 min through the forest.
Day 4
Bhoj Gadi to Pushtara via Phulara ridge
  • Altitude: 11,115 Ft. to 9,500 Ft. via 12,127 Ft.
  • Time taken: 6 hrs
  • Trek Gradient: Proceed trail up to the ridge. A flat path at the ridge followed by the descent to the Pushtara.
  • Water sources: Carry at least two litres of water from Bhoj Gadi
  • You shall get to experience a mesmerizing sunrise can rejuvenate your morning treat for start a day; it takes 1 hr to be on top waiting for bird century on the ridge.
  • It almost seems that you are walking along with mountains right next to you & wherever you’ll go they keep chasing you.
Day 5
Pushtara to Taluka. Drive to Sankri
  • Altitude: 9,500 Ft. to 7,953 Ft.
  • Time taken: 5 hrs trek + 1 hrs drive to Sankri
  • Trek Gradient: Easy-moderate. Descending trail to Taluka.
  • Water sources: There is a stream just before you enter the forest, around 1.5 hrs into the trek.
  • Day 5 will starts with half an hour walk till Taluka where you’ll get demolished huts of Gujjars on the way back to Sankri via Taluka.
Day 6
Departure from Sankri
  • Time Taken: 8 to 9 hrs
  • On the 6th day of Phulara Ridge trek, you will say goodbye to this beautiful trek, and from Sankri you will drive back to Dehradun that will take 8 to 9 hrs to reach Dehradun.

Know Before You Go for Phulara Ridge Trek

  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  • Consult a physician before undertaking the trek. Carry basic medications and a first-aid kit during the trek.
  • Pay heed to the trek guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound trek.
  • The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travelers littering may be fined.
  • Water is very precious, so conservation is appreciated.
  • Do not encourage trekking during the night unless it is a part of the itinerary and a guide is with you; this might lead to unforeseen mishaps.
  • Avoid using earphones during Phulara Ridge trek; this might hinder your audibility.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
  • In case, the trek needs to be canceled, the authorities should be informed beforehand.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of masks is recommended.

  • Camping is very basic in nature. One must not expect luxuries. Electricity may be available only at a few locations.
  • Mobile & laptop charging points may/may not be available on campsites at a common point.
  • Any personal expenses, items of personal nature, meals not mentioned, etc. will not be in part of the package.
  • Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
  • Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the Phulara Ridge trek.
  • Children below the age of 7 years are not recommended for the trek.
