When you are in Kasauli, you will experience the perfect bespoke beauty and the world that you have never imagined of. There are so many tourist locations that will amaze you and take you to the other world. One such location is Gilbert Trail. This spot is right off the main road and can be easily spotted approximately 700 meters ahead of the lover's lane. This is a perfect walk on the small path but shower immense beauty to the maximum extent.
The trek is almost a kilometer and a half long and if you make it to the trail, trek another 300 meters below it and you will get to the absolute end of the hills. After that point, there is nothing but a steep fall. the path is although broken along the side of a west-facing cliff, yet it provides fantastic views along. The Gilbert Trail is a must-visit for the bird watchers. If you are lucky enough, you can get some of the common wild animals swaying around.
In the beginning, the path is wide enough but also at some distance, the path starts shortening and turns out to be a quite narrow path that supports one person at a time. The amazing cool breeze swaying captures your heart and you will get close to nature.
Timings: There are two timing slots for this activity.
1. Morning Slot: 08:00 AM to 10:00 PM
2. Afternoon Slot: 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM

The Gilbert trail is around 2 kilometers far away from the town of Kasauli. You can easily get to the gilbert trail by bus which you will get from the Kasauli bus stand. You can also walk along the trail and get there as well by sighting the beautiful trail throughout the path.
The best time to explore the Gilbert nature trail in Kasauli is between the months of April to June and then again from the months of September to November which is before the winter season and snowfall.
You can enjoy a warm temperate climate in general. The summers are mild and moderate, while winters are quite chilly and monsoons are muggy and oppressive.
The difficulty level of the Gilbert trail is measured on the medium difficulty level to trek on the trail. The trail requires a normal level of fitness to hike on the narrow path of the trail as at some point it also becomes steepy which needs a bit of physical activity to climb it.
