About The Millennium Gallery

Amongst the most famous free attractions in all of England, The Millennium Gallery is also known for being the most important place to visit in Sheffield, especially when it comes to art, craft and design. It is also known for having unique exhibits of the city’s major heritage of metalwork, which contributed to Sheffield’s fame and popularity in the world. Besides that, the gallery also boasts of a wide range of contemporary art and design exhibitions.

While the Millennium Gallery contains around 13,000 items of metalwork, ranging from Sheffield-made cutlery and flatware, to bowls, teapots and containers, it also boasts of being home to the Guild of St. George’s Ruskin Collection. This collection consists of manuscripts, minerals, drawings as well as watercolours that Ruskin collected and gifted to the people of Sheffield in the 1870s. The gallery also has an onsite Gift Shop, where you can get your hands on authentic Sheffield-made products, jewellery, handicrafts, art prints and other memorabilia.
