The McManus, Dundee

Victoria &Albert museum is a renowned design museum which opened in 2018, and is one of the most attractive places to visit in Dundee. One of its kind, this museum is home to 300 exhibits, including the fully restored Charles Rennie Mackintosh Oak Room, it also has a section of Scottish Design Galleries which feature the renowned design works from Scotland.

Scone Palace is the crowning palace of the Scottish Kings and the original home of the stone of Scone, an ancient symbol of Scottish sovereignty. The large and spectacular palace was built between 1802-1807 in Gothic Revival architectural style in the village of Scone by the chief architect William Atkinson. The palace has been a home to the royals of Scotland like Earls of Mansfield, who had commissioned the palace and lived here for almost 400 years.

Mills Observatory is the purpose-built public astronomical observatory in Dundee located on the summit of Balgay Hill. It enjoys a magnificent woodland setting along the river Tay which increases the charm of the place along with the fact that you can see the stars, moon, planets or just watch the universe using the advanced telescopes.

HMS Unicorn has been titled as the most original old ship in the word, as it’s up to 200 years old and still considered the most remarkable historic ship. Constructed over the river Tay at Dundee, the historic Tay Rail Bridge is one most famous bridge in the United Kingdom. It was constructed in 1887, making it the first longest iron bridge in the world which would carry the rail traffic between Dundee and Fife. The structure of the bridge makes it a very important landmark owing to the incredible strength it holds.
