About Prior Park Landscape Garden
Situated in a scenic valley, the Prior Park Landscape Garden is one of the picturesque places to visit in Bath that offer mystical views of the town. The garden was created in the 18th century by Ralph Allen along with poet Alexander Pope and was designed by landscape architect Lancelot Brown. Though the place looks like a fairly beautiful landscape, it is an unexplored gem that uncovers Georgian history and features several hidden architecture.
The major highlight of the Prior Park Landscape Garden is the Palladian Bridge built in 1755 which is an epitome of splendid architecture. You can visit the ice house and summerhouse here that were restored from their ruins lately. The old dams in the garden are under restoration and are expected to reopen soon.
