DANUM VALLEY CONSERVATION AREA

Spread across 440 Sq Km in Central Sabah, Danum Valley Conservation is home to a vast variety of animal species including Sambar Deer, Flying Squirrels, red-leaf monkeys, king cobras, and gibbons. If you are lucky, you will also be able to spot its vibrant cat species that include leopard cat, marbled cat, and flat-headed cats.

If you happen to be at this complex ecosystem, don’t forget to the old-age burial site of Kadazandusun which is complete with ceramic spirit jars and Belian coffins.
