Padas White Water Rafting is a thrilling opportunity for adrenaline junkies to experience a 10-kilometer long rafting experience in the rapids of the Padas river
The whole experience lasts for about 12 hours and 40 minutes and includes a long and beautiful journey through Sabah’s quaint countryside
The rafting lasts for 1.5-2 hours and touches upon eight different points of rapids; namely Head Hunter, Lambada, Cobra, Scooby Doo, Washing Machine, Mary Go Round, Snake House and BBQ Rapids
The trip includes hotel transfers between hotels in Kota Kinabalu to Beaufort
The rest of the journey is undertaken on a train from Beaufort to Pangi
The trip includes light refreshments pre-rafting and a barbeque lunch post-rafting
The rafting experience covers a 10 kilometre-long stretch of the Padas gorge on a shared raft
This is a guided tour and includes a knowledgeable, English-speaking guide
Due to the nature of the activity, children below 12 years of age are not allowed to participate in the activity

About Padas:
Padas White Water Rafting is based in the Padas River area which flows through the Malaysian state of Sabah, on the northern portion of Borneo. The train journey from Beaufort to Pangi not only offers excellent views of lush greenery but also offer a glimpse into the quieter, rural life of the state.
Your journey will take you to the site from where you will be starting your rafting with a group of other people and an experienced rafter. Packed with all the safety equipment, you will enjoy a 10-kilometre long trail that covers eight different rapids of varying intensity and lasts for almost two hours.
While on your Padas rafting trip, you will also be able to partake in some delicious lunch before and after your experience. It is an excellent way of experiencing the gorge and finding more about the local country life, all the while making unforgettable memories.
Itinerary:
5:20am hotel pick up to Beaufort Railway Station, signing of Liability Release Form
7:30am on board train
7:50am train depart, train journey around 1.5-2 hours to Pangi Station
10:30am light refreshments at Pangi

The chances of falling off your boat are low but immediate action must be taken upon falling. The first thing to do is to not panic and to not fight the current. In case of a grade 2 current, self-help is possible and you will be able to swim to the shore without much help. In the case of grade 4 rapids, group rescue is undertaken if you fall.
Wearing proper safety equipment like a life jacket and a helmet is very important during Padas White Water Rafting. You must also wear comfortable clothes and shoes like shorts, t-shirts and sports shoes.
