It gained its popularity in being a sacred place to visit in Auli defeating the prophecy that after Kal Yug or Doom’s Day, the entire temple will be submerged in a landslide and will block the only route to Badrinath. The temple is situated at a walkable distance from the Joshimath Bus Stand.
