About Culloden Battlefield

The Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre is just beside the battlefield and you can witness many artifacts from both sides of the battle along with interactive displays that show the background of the conflict. The Culloden Battlefield is taken care of by the national trust for Scotland and you can also experience the battle as a short story at the stark auditorium where all 4 walls are used as screens. This is an amazing experience with no narratives and is not recommended for kids as it conveys noise and terrors of the battle.

You can also witness many weapons, and fragments of bullets that were found in the battlefield at the Culloden Battlefield visit center. Leanach Cottage is one of the most interesting parts of the Culloden Battlefield which existed on the site in 1746. The cottage is restored as it was during the battle and it is said that the cottage was used as a hospital for the government troops.
