BUTE PARK

Located in the Cardiff city center, Bute park offers an extensive area in the form of a wonderful park. The park is equipped with multiple educational locations for kids, amazing cafes, numerous play areas, etc. Take a walk in the park and explore an unlimited amount of horticulture and wildlife. Multiple self-guided trails in the park offer a peaceful walk with your kids or partner.

The park is located between Cardiff castle and the river and it offers a 56-hectare corridor of landscape parklands and gardens in the city center. It is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Cardiff. The Bute family initially owned the park, lived in the castle, and later donated it to the city. Explore the collection of ornamental and rare trees in the beautiful Bute Park, check out animals and birds, and stop at the education center for trail information and activity sheets.

Take a refreshing stroll through Bute Park. Follow the self-guided trails to explore the medieval friary's remains and admire the wildlife and horticulture. You can also follow an artificial stream, the Mill least surrounding the castle, and enjoy a peaceful walk along the river. Also, do not miss to check out the Arboretum collection at Bute Park and admire 3,000 specimens of champion trees which are the broadest and tallest of their kind in the UK and the British Isles.
