Nobody can explain the beauty of nature, because nature always surprised us by giving a such wonderful gift . It was such a challenging and a magical journey for me and my family to walk up the mountain peak but had a fun with my brothers and sisters. It was a great day with family and the place was really wonderful with an awesome views but somehow scary too. I heard a lot of mysterious story about the lake and it is also called the mystery lake or the skeleton lake. The Roopkhund is a mountain lake lying in the Gharwal Himalaya in Uttarakhand. It was like walking on the clouds, the lake was gorgeous and surrounded with snow, evergreen forest and divine mountain. All in all the entire trekking experience was so much fun and had a great time, loved the entire experience.

Below to me was the calm and mysterious lake and above to me was cloudy sky and i was around 15000 feet above the ground at the top and this feeling in itself was great for me. Really i don't have words to explain it.

Roopkund was a nice experience. Needless to say, it was good and interesting too. I would definitely recommend this trek to any travel and nature lover. This was like the best trek that I had in the recent times. I enjoyed the trekking experience a lot. It was complete fun to go with random trekkers who ended up becoming my buddies at the end of the trek. The trek leader was super friendly.

Roopkund pass is very good and the trek is comfortable also for the first timer like me. This place has a lot of history and mystery associated with it. After reading multiple stories about this place, my friends and I wanted to badly go to this place and check it out. To our surprise, this trek was not that difficult but it was long and tiring but worth it.. Beautiful, brilliant, and not mysterious or spooky or anything. I had a good time at the trek. The trek was nicely planned and excellently executed. The lake is also interesting but very small but the view of the peaks from the top is just amazing, serene, and lovely. i loved it and i am sure You will love it totally1!

Trekking in Roopkund begins from Kathgodam and next stopage point is Lohajung which is also a great site for exploring located at the height of 7500 feet. The journey will take not more than 10 hours, which includes one or two breaks. The trekking is long and without taking adequate breaks it will be though as well. Kumon will be your next stoppage and from there you can also spot the great shivalik range which looks wonderful. Next you will have reach Gwandam of Gharwal and the last point would be the Roopkund lake. During your entire journey you will see large coniferous forests and the half snow capped peaks. It is an interesting place to spend your next holiday.

Spectaular hills, snow on the peaks, beautiful deep valleys and dense forests are the major attraction of Roopkund trekking. The trip can be initiated from lohajung area then you cross the didna village, gwaldam and gharwal regions, and each of these places are the perfect campsites. Trekking is absolute fun, you will embark on high mountain ridges and also cross the river stream of neel ganaga tributary. So after passing through the dense coniferous trees you will reach roopkund trek. Enjoy being at the lake side view and make your holiday memorable.

i loved trekking at gwaldam and ail bugyal peaks, it was quite challenging. you need to first ascend and then walk downhills where the utmost care is required. Trekkers love this kind of trails. Rest was just okay. Camping can be done easily since the grounds are flat and actually these are the grassland that shepherds use for grazing their animals. The forests also welcomes you to go inside and explore different green trees. The large lake of roopkund is the final destination where you can spend good quality time. overall for me it was a great adventure.

Roopkund trek gives is actually the combined trekking in all locations be like lohajung, deval, and gharwal peaks. Exploring the didna kuling village is a nice option that will keep ip interest in the journey. There is a small river stream fed by neel ganga that is worth watching. Above all comes the roopkund lake, beautiful and magnificent surrounded by mountains and trees present on the banks. It is an absolute heaven.

While reaching Roopkund trek you will experience the serpentine curves of road before Lohajung area. Roopkund is actually famous for having a beautiful lake having crystal clear water and a perfect destination for trekking lovers. Since it is near Gharwal region so trekkers can also extend their trekking trip to other himalayan peaks.

Dedani village to ali bugyal, the from ali bugyal to Ghora lotani and from there to Bhagwabasa and finally roopkund was quite a long journey. We got tired but it felt like an achievement . While trekking we came across many villages where we took rest and did some sight seeing. it was a lovely experience. The roopkund lake was worth capturing in your camera. I had one of the best treks ever. Though, the travel to this place is tedious, the skeleton lake visit was great and nevertheless a nice experience. That being said, the lake again is too overrated. Another positive about this trek is the wonderful surroundings. It was awesome and beautiful.

Roopkund trek tests our stamina and internal strength, after a days long trekking and sightseeing you will get highly tired and so trekking is not so easy here. Camping is quite restful and sightseeing includes exquisite places. I have seen nothing more scenic than the roopkund lake. Enjoyed the overall experience.

Roopkund trek is the last destination, before reaching the roopkund lake you will pass through other villages and valleys. Trekking is meant for professionals and strong people since youbwill require to climb uphill many a time. As far as camping is concerned then not all the pointa are good for camping but sites like ali bugyal and bhagwabasa is awesome campsite . over all its a marvelous trek.

We took this trek deal after a friend recommended. The trek was interesting. After we spoke and got to know a short itinerary, we made the payment, which was quite moderate. It was neither cheap not costly. It was pretty much worthy. We received a detailed itinerary, and we booked our tickets. After we reached the meeting spot, we took a trek from Lohajung to Didna Village also known as Lohajung Pass which is near the Bedni Ganga River. This was our Day 1, that night we stayed in a tent. The next day, we trekked to Ali Bugyal, Garhwal Himalayas and stayed there. The next day led to a trek to Ghora Lotani trek, this was quite an easy and fun trek. We stayed overnight there as usual. The nest day was the much awaited visit to Roopkund lake and Bedni Bugyal, where we stayed overnight. Then the next day we trekked down to Wan and drive back to Lohajung. It was a great experience.

There are very few treks that would be fun without causing any harm or pain. This trek is one such thing. It neither caused hole to my pocket, nor to my physical health. Most treks are complicated. This trek is tough yet not complicated. I like challenging treks where we know what we are doing, but it takes a lot of stamina to do it. This is one such trek. I had a really great time with the trek, and I am glad to have taken this trek. I recommend this to all of the avid trekkers out here in this group.

The trek was awesome. We had a great time with the trek. It was interesting and informative too. The week went in a fraction of a second leaving one to want for more and more. The trek was easily and undoubtedly the best trek to Himalayas. The trekking was quite interesting too. It was a combination of easy, medium, and complex treks that allowed the trekkers to relax and have fun as well. I so loved this trek experience. I recommend this to all.

The trek route along this place is a brilliant journey of finding the most stunning of Himalayan contribution of oak and beautiful rhododendron forests. WOW is the word to describe such bliss. This is a moderate trek. This Roopkund trek trails through mountainous rivers and enthralling ridges. What’s more you get to see lush forests and scenic meadows.

The lake, i.e., the water body of this place is present in the laps of the snow clad Mt. Trishul which is situated at an altitude of 16,500ft. That is the only unique thing about this trek. This is yet another fancy Himalayan trek.

The trekking was quite fun. I loved each day of the trek, be it the easy trek or the steep trek, the tent stay or the lake visit, the trek was awesome and interesting. I so wish to do more such treks in the future. I completely loved this trek to say the least. I recommend this totally.
