We, the bunch of 5 adventure junkies had zeroed in the plan to go on Chadar Trek. Since, we all have been on treks lot many times, didn't want to go on Chadar Trek with other trekkers. Difficult to find a perfect place to fit in our criteria, we finally came across Thrillophilia. Tarun, the sales expert of Thrillophilia came as a saviour to us, and assured that the trek can be planned wherein just the 5 of us will go with added charges. We agreed on the plan as we wanted to freeze the plan as early as possible. We had one crazy time over there and all the credit goes to Thrillophilia.

Going on Chadar Trek was my dream and it came true only because of the help and support of Thrillophilia staff. Being a first time trekker, I was a bit paranoid about my safety concerns, but Thrillophila proved me right and took care of each and everything, right from my stay, food, health and fitness concerns. There was a time when I fell sick and couldn't muster up the energy to move forward. The operator took care of me that entire day and assured that I can move ahead and complete my trek.

Seeing all my trekker friends, I was also motivated to go on a Chadar trek, which is considered to be one of the most difficult treks. Completely oblivios of the fact about the trek and from where we can book. I googled and came across Thrillophilia which provide perfect platform for trekkers like me. The experience was one-of-a-kind.

Policies and guidelines given by Thrillophilia team was commendable. Even they have explained the cancellation policies as well which I thought people ususally cheated on customers. Trusted company to book with.

Really nice services Thrillophilia. Though I know, it is just a booking platform, but you have tied up with good vendors who are hard working and provided the best services they can. Sometimes I felt little here and there happened from their end, but it is fine. Good work.

I wanted to advice all the travellers who are going to chadar trek is to carry light weight luggage as you need to carry them white trekking. Although there will be porters for your help but it is advisable to carry less stuff but warm stuff. Secondly Gum boots are required to walk on the chadar so ,there is no need to carry them from your home. You can easily purchase them from Leh only. Thirdly, Do not dance while watching to the frozen waterfall. You will loose your oxygen level. This small tips will make your trek wonderful and hassle free.

When I heard stories of Chadar trek from my trekker friend with whom I did 4-5 treks in Himalayas, I could not resist myself to go on frozen river trek in Zanskar. He suggested me to go through thrillophilia as he also did chadar trek 2 years ago with them. It was very easy to book and hassle free process to book this tour. These guys are different from other online companies who sell chadar trek, as their operator is local and their support staff itself is from znaskar village where this trek take place. I had memorable 9 days of my life during this trip. Lot of challenges, adventures, risk, fun moments during the trek make this trek non forgettable.

Chadar trek is not that difficult as you have to just walk but what makes it difficult and dangerous is walking on ice sheet and that in minus temperature. I must thanks thrillophilai for their amazing support and trek guide and other staff who took very well care of us during the trek. I must if you are planning to book Chadar trek online you guys should consult team thrillophilia and as they have best local operators who are from Ladakh region only and know their land better than any other person.

One of the best adventure of my life. I was planning a this trek long time but finally I went to this trek. While checking for good package I came across thrillophilia. I had lot of doubts about the trek and Tarun was really co-operative and cleared all my doubt. During 4th day of trek Chadar broke but our trip leader knew the alternate route to reach base camp as he was from Zanskar region and he told us he and porters cross chadar many time in winters as road to Leh remain cloased during winter so he know this region like the back of his hand. I am really glad to meet so many new people on the trek and some which become so good friend of mine that we are planning one more trek together.

I will keep my chadar review short. Guide is very experienced and porters are very helpful. Quality of sleeping was very good and you won’t feel cold in those sleeping bags. Our tents were comfortable and two people were sharing one tent. Food served during the trek was ok and hot. Trek is difficult so start preparing 2 months before the trek.

Me and my friend did chadar trek last year and I don’t have words to describe my experience. It was adventure of lifetime. Porters and guide were very friendly and we used to listen their stories as how they cross chadar in winters to reach Leh for their supplies. Very good support from team Thrillophilia and great customer support.

I owe my life (no exaggeration) to the kindness of the staff during my Chadar Trek and sincerely thank Vishnu Bhaiya, our cook for the trek for letting me stay in the kitchen tent, making separate meals for me when I fell sick and ensuring that I ate enough to survive the bone chilling night.

I have been to Chadar Trek twice and here comes my piece of advice. Walking on shiny Ice is the trickiest. You have to refrain from taking long strides and stick to walking like a penguin without lifting your feet too much from the ground. The snow covered patches are the easiest to traverse on and give a sense of relief, however, one cannot take off the focus as sometimes its just a decoy and there's slippery ice beneath the snow.

The trek is tough even for the fittest of the lot so DO NOT venture un-prepared! Always go prepared and keep the fitness check before going to Chadar trek. An advice to all Chadar Trek enthusiasts.

There were a couple of side-mountain climbs that we had to make since the Chadar was broken at a couple of places. Overall, it was a good experience. Shall recommend it to other as well.

The trek starts from Chilling, the last village accessible by road and also last point till where the vehicle can reach. The road till Chilling ain’t smooth either and is obstructed by occasional landslides. Keep your camera ready as you’d want to capture every inch of the road trip but do save up the battery for days ahead as there is no electricity to recharge.

I wanted to share my experience of Day 2. I had a high fever due to cold and so low temperature. I was unable to eat anything. Cook was really caring and kind. He gave me liquid food so that it was easy to digest and swallowed. Trek leader provided me medicines and left me back to the hotel. Though I haven't completed my trek but lucky enough to feel that aura of the valley.

While walking on Day 3, I slipped into the river. But, thanks to the trek leader and porter, who were spontaneous enough to save me. They took me out, and asked me to change my clothes in the toilet tent which was set then and there. As soon as I changed my clothes, they asked me to slip into the sleeping bag in which they kept some hot water bottles. I was pleased to have encountered such people in my life. The trip will always hold special place in my heart.

While planning a trek to Chadar. We often come across lot of questions, I also had my share of doubts, but all my worries vanished once I met my Trek Leader who turned out to be quite experience. Only because of his experience of 4-5 years on Chadar, We had a clarity of where to pitch tents. We were clearly made aware of all Dos and Dont's.

Beautiful destinations are not always defined by its scenic views. Sometimes it is more about the people you meet, their hospitality and the lasting friendship and respect you develop for souls that inhabit the bodies. Of all the beautiful places that have been captured in my lens, Ladhak will stay captured in my heart for its beautiful people! All thanks to Chadar Trek!
