I was thinking a lot before writing something about my trip to Hampta Pass this November. It was really good but some routes were almost closed due to heavy snowfall. Then we understood we could have gone for the trip sometime before November. But still we reached Hampta Pass after trekking through the difficult roads. May be because it was almost winter, the number of tourists were less. Hence there were a lot of homestays and guest houses were vacant. The tour providers arranged better accommodation throughout the route. Since the climate was not perfect for us, the trip was reduced to three days. Hence we could not go for Chandra Tal trek and camping. But the tour providers refunded the amount. Though I have seen photographs of Hampta Pass, the original one was different. Snow has started to spread the blanket over the place and the region was fully cold. Two jackets and one blanket were not enough to prevent the cold. The forests, meadows, the streams, everything was becoming very cold. But it was unexpected. We though the snow will be coming only in the starting of December and the tour providers also did not have an idea about it. I hope next time at least we can go during the season.

Hampta Pass trek in 2016 was the second time adventure for me. Before, in 2014 I went there with my colleagues. But this time I and my husband went together and it was the first trek after our wedding. We enjoyed it. My husband’s friend suggested a tour provider and we got the package for an offer. Thus it was a budgeted trip for us. We packed everything they asked us to pack and extra blankets and bed sheets were also taken. There was another family of five with us during this trip. Hence we travelled in a tempo traveler from Delhi to Manali and from there to the starting point of the trek. We were well prepared to climb the steep and curves till Hampta Pass since we have waited for the trek for many months. When it happened, we did not want to lose the pleasure of trekking by being unfit. To be frank, we had the best time at Hampta Pass and Chandra Tal Lake. Firstly we did not have the plan to go to Chandra Tal since the guide told the permission to the lake is very difficult to be arranged. But since there were a lot of tourists waiting to go there, we also got permission. We camped near the lake in tents. That was the only camping location during the trip. At all the other places, we took homestay or lodges at cheaper rates. The driver and the guide came with us were good people and really helping. Usually, the entrance tickets and all should be done by us but here, they only booked everything and we did not feel any difficulty during the whole trip.

Plenty of sightseeing options are there during the trip to Hampta Pass. Bike ride and trekking are the most suitable ways to enjoy the beauty of Hampta. We chose to trek. We means a group of ten friends who studied together during B.Tech. From the college days, we were planning a trekking trip to North India and this year only it happened and we were eagerly waiting to climb the challenging roads to Hampta Pass. A very tricky pass with steeps and uneven roads is this pass. But adventure is in our blood and we found the trek beautiful. We went ourselves since finding a tour operator and going with their guides did not sound cool for us. We only planned and we only executed it. But everything went on well except some of us fell ill in between. The climatic conditions were rough during two days. Apart from that nothing was a problem for us. Rohtang Pass and Chandra Tal were the best experiences anyone can ask for. Camping, campfire, a dip in the streams and walking along the meadows with your gang are something you can enjoy very rarely. So friends, please try something like this and I suggest Hampta Pass with all my heart.

The things I have seen , the things I have done are pretty amazing . I can tell you tales about it , show you volume of pictures , speak on lengths about it but you wont understand . And its not your fault . Beautiful things are hard to understand and even more hard to earn. Unless you are there breathing in all what I had , you wont get it. And such an everlasting impression could only be created by wonderful people around - my trek guide Nanu , cook Jeeta and Trek coordinator Raj mohan . Rightly called as Valley of Gods through alpine meadows, ridges, glacier basins, pine forests and ancient villages will leave you spellbound in its web of magic , will give you 7 days of peace amd tranquility and lifetime of memories .

Take this trek in the summers. During this time, I got the opportunity to witness the real beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas after the nature evolved out as fresh as the morning dew. Colourful flowers all around, the new leaves, the quintessential beauty of everything made it one of the best treks for me.

More than trekking, I loved the camping part in the high mountains. During the entire trek, the temperature was quite moderate and tolerable. The trails were also easily doable. But yeah, at times they got a bit aggresive, but again, that was the charm of the Har Ki Dun trek.

I really don't understand why people has to go abroad to have fun and adventure. May be I too had the same perception in the beginning, but the Har Ki Dun trek changed my mind completely. You will surely have fun and also get a touch of adventure and thrill on this trek.

It was the perfect trek for a biegniers, but the person who never done trek before i will tell that it was Not that easy trek that you think too, Actually it was the moderate trek. We start trekking morning 10 am after travelling 15 km through, jungle and river we reached the destination prashar lake. The lake is accompanied by fast flowing beas river the lake prashar is very scenic. With deep blue waters and a pagoda structured temple it create a very sacred feelings in visitors mind. The most striking characteristic of the place is its silence that you may experience nowhere else.

Wow! I am just awestruck from the beauty of the trek still. The trek was so poignant and beautiful that it left me speechless for so long. This trek is a perfect amalgamation of fun, beauty, and thrill. To start with 8000-16000ft of hiking and trekking the snow-capped mountains was super thrilling; it was just the best experience ever. Then, the gurgling brooks nearby just was fun and fascinating. To finish it up the beauty of surroundings especially the snow filled places was sheer brilliance. If you have not taken this trek in your life, you are missing something great. This is must trip for everyone who is in to or who is interested in trekking. I totally loved this trek; what’s more the trek is quite inexpensive too.

Wooo! what an amazing trip it was!!Thanks to the tour guide who explained all about the mysterious Roopkund lake. It was an amazing adventure to trek this huge mountains though it was tiring the spirit of the mountain kept us going and going. But after one point when I got fully immersed in the beauty of the lakes and mountain I forgot who I was , what I am doing? All I knew was that I have to trek all the way. That's the beauty of mountains.

The trekking experience was great. I had a really really fun filled trek. The beautiful surrounding, the bird’s eye view of the place, and everything else added more beauty to the travel experience. the roopkund was mostly frozen, and when we went close you could actually see the skeltons on the bed of the lake. oThis trip is something that I can never ever forget the final climb to roopkund was very difficult and tedious but it was worth it. I totally loved this trek. I wish I could take more such treks in the future.

Wow! So finally a big thing off my travel bucket list. A trek to Mystery Lake of Uttarakhand. Also known as the Roopkund Lake, this place is a must-trek spot for any avid traveller and trekker. Well, to start with this trek is not for everyone. To complete this trek you must battle many adversities. I was successfully able to do it, and hence I finished this trek. If you sense pride when I say this, yes I am proud. I worked out for 3 years to achieve this and I trekked other less risky and less intense mountains ever fortnight to improve my willpower and stamina. This trek is a must for serious trekkers.

wao this heavenly place has many stories associated with it, like the british mountaineer discovered it and wrote his book valley of flowers, which is very famous among the international tourists. one woman name Miss Margaret Lague came to see this valley and ahe was tryinv to pluck a flower but unfortunately she got slipped and fell in the valley and died. in her memory there is a tombstone on hwr grave and all people who visits this valley of flowers must visit this tombstone. The local guide explores all other details of the flowers and the valley. Well it is a one day trip and people having time must come and witness the heaven on earth.
