Overview

Trip Starting From: Paro

Trip Location: Paro

About Bhutan:

Bhutan is a beautiful, small, South Asian country which is dominated by the Eastern Himalayas. This Himalayan country is landlocked from all sides and shares its boundaries with India, China and Tibet. It also has the second least population in entire South Asia, making it a peaceful and quaint holiday destination.

Not only does Bhutan boast of some of the most beautiful natural scenery but it also has some incredible cultural history. The small country is situated on the ancient Silk Road between Tibet, the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Dominated by Buddhism, the Bhutanese state has a distinct national identity. When travelling through Bhutan, you can spot this distinction in identity across the length and breadth of the country.

What you will also spot when travelling through the country are its spectacular landscapes that change from lush subtropical plains to sub-alpine Himalayan mountains. Bhutan’s rich biodiversity also makes it a haven for wildlife lovers. When in Bhutan you can also sample the local cuisine which is made up of a lot of dairy, meat and vegetable soups and stews.

Ema Datshi, yak’s cheese, butter tea and brewed ara are some of the Bhutanese dishes and beverages that you must sample. If you choose Bhutan as the next holiday destination and book
