Reconnect with nature and wildlife in the Sharjah Desert Park, situated in Seih Al Masmout protected area and home to wide species of flora and fauna including Arabian Cobra, Saw-scaled vipers, mongoose, foxes, Cheetah, Striped Hyena, etc. Children will love to pet and feed horses or goats at the Children's Farm. The park has various sections like Natural History and Botanical Museum and Arabia’s Wildlife Center to learn about the diverse wildlife through audiovisual and interactive activities. Do not miss the Islamic Garden, featuring species of plants you must have read about in the Holy Quran and Al Sannah.
About the Activity:
- Visit the edutainment park, located around 20km away from Dubai, and connect with nature.
- You will be able to visit three zones namely, Children’s Farm, Natural History and Botanical Museum, and Arabia’s Wildlife Center to learn about the diverse wildlife through interactive activities. Know more about these zones below:
- Children’s Farm: Your young ones will love to pet and feed animals like horses and goats.
- Natural History and Botanical Museum: Explore the Museum with 5 sections called A Journey Through Sharjah, Desert Life, A Journey through Time, The Living World, and The Living Sea, through audiovisual documentaries.
- Arabia’s Wildlife Center: This contains 5 more sections to let you explore a world full of Arabian creatures. - By Bus: You can travel on bus E311 till Awir CMC (1 hour 45 mins) and the rest of the way via taxi (24 mins). Or, on bus E400 to Sharjah cement factory (1 hour 20 mins) and rest of the way via taxi (5mins).
- By Car: This is the most efficient way to reach Sharjah Desert Park from the Sharjah airport. You can cover the distance in about 15 mins and easily find a parking space.
