About the Activity:
Tour available from June to September

  • Explore the Karakorum range in this fun and exciting tour of Mongolia for 4 days and 3 nights. Kharkhorin or Karakorum is located at the lower end of the upper valley of the Orkhon river.
  • It is a part of the World Heritage Site, Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape and 320 km from Ulaanbaatar. 
  • Explore some of the most beautiful and iconic destinations of Mongolia, which includes Ulaanbaatar, Karakorum and Bayangobi.
  • Visit Moltsog els sand dune, a nomad family to get the local vibe and indulge in horse riding if time permits. Also get a chance to see the wild horse Prjevalski.
  • The tour includes all meals, transport and accommodation during the tour.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    Arrive in Ulaanbaatar Airport (UB), where you will meet your guide and get transferred to hotel in the downtown of the city.

    After checking in to your hotel, relax and spend the time at leisure.

    Also embark on a sightseeing tour of Karakorum.

    If there is time, you can enjoy horse riding in Karakorum or Bayangobi.

    Stay overnight in Ger camp.

    Only lunch and dinner will be available today with the package.

  • Day 2 -

    After breakfast, prepare yourself for the visit to Erdene-Zuu monastery which was once the largest monastery in Mongolia that was destroyed in the 1930s.

    Afterwards, head out to enjoy the architectural talents portrayed in the ruins of Karakorum which it was the capital city of the Mongol Empire.

    Post lunch, get a drive toward Ger camp in Moltsog els, Bayangobi.

    In the evening stroll around the locality and visit the local nomadic family.

    Stay overnight at Ger camp.

  • Day 3 -

    Have a delicious breakfast at the base camp and get transferred to Ulaanbaatar.

    Indulge in some prominent sightseeing tour to Gandan Monastery, Museum of Fine Arts and Chingis Khaan Square.

    In the evening, enjoy watching some cultural performance.

  • Day 4 -

    After breakfast, get ready for the departure. The experience ends here.
