For the first time in the country, an adventure like this is offered in the untamed surroundings of a wildlife park. This operation is limited to a buffer zone within the reserve where one can spot the most population of Leopards, Deers, Sloths, White and Bengal Tigers, among more flora and fauna.
About the activity
- The state tourism department was inspired by the hot-air balloon safaris in the African savannahs and parks and decided to bring this experience to India. It is perfect for families with young children, couples, and any other adventurous traveler who wants to enjoy wildlife from a newer, fresher perspective.
- Also, unlike your jeep safaris and tours which involve passing through the dense forests, in this activity, you get a clear and bird’s eye view of the entire forest landscape and the creatures that inhabit it. The Bandhavgarh Hot-air balloon safari is a seasonal event available twice in a day - early morning and evening (before sunset), for a duration of a 60-minute flight. Guests can book private tours or become a part of larger groups to enjoy this experience.

Know Before You Go for Hot Air Balloon Safari in Bandhavgarh
- The hot-air balloon safari is available twice a day, in the morning and evening.
- Each round of flight will be of 60 minutes and available spending on the weather conditions.
- Anyone with a fear or phobia of heights, vertigo or any such medical condition are advised not to partake in the safari. Or consult with their doctor and provide a certificate of fit beforehand.
- The Balloon can carry a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 22 guests at once.
- Children on the flight are to be supervised and accompanied by their parents at all times.
- Littering or creating a disturbance to the ecosystem is prohibited.
