Itinerary for Pawna Dam camping (2 days, 1 night)
Quite a few travel agencies arrange Pawna Lake camping tours, but since it is close and not a very remote area, you could choose to plan a trip on your own!
Day 1:
- You must reach the campsite at 5 pm. The road to reach the Pawna Dam may get a little tricky towards the end, and driving on it in the dark may be dangerous if you are not a very experienced driver!
- Once you get there, you can take a stroll around the dam, enjoying sunset by a lake nestled within the hills!
- If you are going on your own, you should carry some equipment for food, or if you are going with a travel agency, you will be given a spread of tea and pakoras to enjoy with the music played out there!
- You can spend the rest of the evening staring up the clear sky and enjoy the music and bonfire!
- You will have to share the tent at night, and the options available are 2 or 4 or 6 sharing tents.
Day 2:
- The sunrise is the highlight of the Pawna dam camping trip, and it should not be missed! So on day 2, you should be up by 5 am to witness the sun rising from between the hills and the silhouette showing in the water!
- You will then be served breakfast, and you can plan to start driving back at 11 am!
- However short, this trip is a package not to be missed- a serene lake, hills all around, a camp bonfire by the lake, a tranquil stroll around the whole dam area, and a mesmerizing sunrise!
