THE WORLD OF SEASHELLS

The World of Seashells is one of the most unique places to visit in Tamarin Mauritius. This extraordinary museum showcases over 8000 pieces of unique shells from the vast collection of Mr Le Court De Billot. The museum has shells that have been collected from various parts of the world and will tell you a lot about their morphology, living mechanism, their defense system, their unique beautiful patterns and lots more.

You can also learn how people have used these amazing art of nature for decorative and other purposes for centuries. Every culture and community around the world have used these seashells for different purposes. It is a great experience to see how each piece is unique in nature.
