THE OLD BRITISH CONSULATE

Tour the past of Taiwan times with the Old British Consulate which is the first consulate to be built in this region. It features a residence, hiking trail, and the compound of the consulate. This is an important site from Chinese modern history and can be reached with a short hike. The interiors of the edifice are intriguingly built and consist of big wall pillars, elegant arches, and a whole lot more.

Apart from this, the consulate even has historical architectural value as the styles and techniques used while making this building are rare and worth understanding. It's a combination of Chinese & western styles of architecture and hence is a delight for history & architectural style lovers.
